Merry Christmas Eve, Happy Hanukkah, and many other happy holidays! I’m very fortunate that this year I’ll be enjoying the holidays with family – my husband, son, daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter are all in town, so it’s a very merry Christmas for us!

I hope all of you are able to spend the day just the way you want AND that everyone is happy, safe, and healthy.

My husband and I just spent some time enjoying our grandaughter’s second Easter egg hunt via our portal. It’s nothing like physically being with our daughter and her family in D.C. – but it sure is better than not seeing them at all! We celebrated Easter with our son yesterday so my husband and I are planning a quiet day today. (This empty next thing never seems to get easier…)

This year, we won’t have our daughter with us… travel is still difficult for her with a relatively young child. Fortunately, our son is close enough that he will be spending the holiday with us, and we will be able to use one of our new-fangled gadgets (my husband is in charge of that sort of thing…) to be able to talk face-to-face with our daughter at least.

The holiday meal is going to be nice as well – ham this year!
