The Turner Classic Movies channel will be presenting their yearly “31 Days of Oscar” programming during February 2016. Because of this, I thought there wouldn’t be too many mystery movies this month, however I am pleasantly surprised by how many will be shown. Also, as most of you have probably noticed, the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel show the same mystery television shows over and over (Murder, She Wrote, Hart to Hart, Diagnosis Murder, Matlock, & Columbo). For this reason, I’ve decided not to list them during their “regular” time slots. Probably by now, most of you who watch this channel know exactly when these shows air! I’m just going to be listing these shows’ special marathons. As usual, I’ll be showing the mystery movies that the channel airs. Hopefully, this will help make the list more manageable.

The rest of us would absolutely love hearing about any more mystery movies they will be airing during February 2016. So, if you know of any I haven’t listed, please post a comment.
In case you’re interested in seeing the rest of this month’s television mystery movies, here’s the January 2016 television mystery movies schedule:
Upcoming Television Mystery Movies for January 2016
Here is the page on my site with lots and lots of entries of movies and television shows you may enjoy:
Marja says
Thanks for the heads up on TCM. I’ve been wanting to see “Judgement at Nuremberg” for years and now I have it on my calendar!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Marja, I haven’t seen that movie in a few years, but I sure do remember it as being really, really good.
Cee Pluse says
We now get a new channel called getTV. From their website, “getTV is a new television network that brings the classic films and television you love to your living room. Enjoy the glamour of old Hollywood with legendary actors and award-winning films playing all day and night.”. getTV has been showing the old Boston Blackie movies on Thursday nights for the month of January. I took a look at their movies for the first week in February and there were several listed as mysteries, so you might want to check them out:
http://www.get.tv/schedule
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Cee Pluse, thanks for telling us about this new channel. I’m going to have to see if we get it here.
Linda C says
Danna, I am really disappointed with the Aurora Teagarden mysteries on TV. Our sleuth just doesn’t seem to be the same character on TV as she is in the books. But then it has been quite awhile since I read any of the books so maybe I need to go back and read the books again. .
In the TV series Roe seems to be just too flighty. It’s as if she has more smarts than any of the cops. I love the books. Just don’t care for the TV series at all.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Linda C, I am enjoying all of these Cozy Mystery movies that Hallmark is making, although I have had to sort of think of them as really not based on the series they say they are. I had the same problem with the Inspector Lynley television series. At first I simply could not watch them, because the characters seemed so very different than they were in the books. However, once I looked at them as a totally new series, I enjoyed them. Weird, right? I guess it’s a good sign of an author when we think we know the characters and can see differences, big differences sometimes…
Tessa says
Hallmark shows ‘Hart To Hart’?????
How didn’t I know that?????
Perhaps during the day time… Because it’s old shows, at night. Other than on weekends.
Must look into this!
Tessa says
-head desk-
I am so embarrassed. All sorts of delicious things are on Hallmark, which I didn’t know.
Sooooo embarrassed!
But thank you for giving me the opportunity to finally catch up on all these ‘goodies’.
Thank you!!!!
Tessa
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Tessa, no need to be embarrassed! I think that when Hallmark split into two channels, they decided to run reruns of old mystery shows all morning, which helps them only have to program TV movies in the afternoon and on weekends. I am sorry they don’t show the new Cozy Mystery television series on their original channel >>> since a lot of people don’t have access to their movies & mysteries channel.
