Snipped in the Bud – New Flower Shop Mystery Movie!

And, Gina just told us about the new Flower Shop Mystery movie that will premier on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 8:00 PM (Central). These mystery movies are based on Kate Collins‘ very popular Cozy Flower Shop Mystery Series.

Flower Shop Mystery: Snipped in the Bud
When a bouquet from her shop is found at the murder scene of a professor and former courtroom adversary of Abby Knight, a former attorney-turned-small-town-florist, she finds herself as the main suspect. Stars Brooke Shields, Brennan Elliott and Beau Bridges.

Sandra Brown’s White Hot – a Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Movie You May Want to Watch…

My daughter had to go downtown for a meeting today, so I’m sticking around her apartment today. Well, actually, she left me her keys and key fob (Yes, that’s a new word for me!) so I’m going to head out on my own for a little. However, I knew that Sandra Brown’s White Hot movie was finally going to be on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries schedule, so I wanted to let you know about this new mystery movie they will be showing. (This is not on the regular Hallmark channel.)

Sandra Brown is a New York Times bestselling author of mystery books >>> thrillers, not Cozies. (She also writes romance novels.) However, seeing that this is a Hallmark movie, I don’t expect to see any nudity nor a lot of gore. Let’s face it, Hallmark isn’t known for having to sensationalize their movies to grab an audience!

Cherry Blossoms Time in DC…

Cherry BlossomsIt’s Cherry Blossom time in Washington, DC and guess who’s here to enjoy those beautiful pink bouquets of “simply loveliness”? (I sort of gave it away when I said “here” – didn’t I?)

I flew out yesterday to celebrate this beautiful springtime event in DC and to spend Easter with my daughter. This is her first year to be living here – so I wanted to make this a mom/daughter event. (Yes, to my friends and family, as you know, I hate flying >>> so you know how determined I was to get out here!)

We’re going down to see the blossoms this morning, and again during the beginning of the week. My  daughter doesn’t remember seeing the blossoms when she was itty-bitty, so it will be fun for me to see the blossoms with her “for the first time”.

I didn’t get much actual reading done on the flight yesterday; however, I was able to listen to about half of the latest Alexander McCall Smith No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency novel. I’ve started a new-to-me Cozy Mystery author on my Kindle, so it’s still too early to tell if I’m going to stay with it.

Well, we’re off to see the blossoms…
