What the Cat Dragged In (Cat in the Stacks Mystery Book 14) by Miranda James is due on on August 31 as well.
August has been a great month for new books for me. There are even two on this list that are on my ‘buy when I catch up with most of the series list’. Seems I now have more lists than I ever thought possible.

I pre-ordered “Partners in Lime”…even though I won’t be reading it for awhile. I have all of the current releases in this series, but I just started reading them this month…read the first two, then realized the third is a Christmas book. Since I prefer to read Christmas books around that time (same with Halloween, etc), I’m holding off until then. The fourth book is an “anytime’ read for me, but then the fifth book is Halloween…which means it’ll be over a year until I read that one. So yeah, I won’t be reading “Partners in Lime” for quite awhile. It’s no biggie though, because my TBR pile is gargantuan! I have plenty of other books to keep me busy.
Along with that overwhelmingly enormous TBR pile, I have a substantial (though nowhere near as huge) wish list…which includes the Gilded Newport Mystery Series. So, “Murder at Wakehurst” is on that list, but I have no plans to start collecting that series (or any established series I haven’t started collecting yet) until at least next year. I just have way too many books on my TBR pile right now.
I’m very interested in Carol J. Perry’s new series, so “Be My Ghost” is also on my wishlist. Since this is a first in a new series, I may break my self-imposed “not until at least next year” rule for it. I’m really tempted!

Melanie, it can certainly be rough reading some series in order if you want to stick with the holiday theming!
