I know it has been less than a week since I added four new Mystery Authors to the Cozy Mystery site. I have actually surprised myself! (It usually takes me so long to get pages up for mystery author additions to the site.)
Alice Duncan: Daisy Gumm Majestic Mystery Series (Daisy is a séance and tarot psychc medium in 1920s California.)
Mercy Alcutt Mystery Series (Mercy is the owner of a rooming house in 1920s Hollywood.)
Annabelle Blue Mystery Series (Annabelle works at her family’s dry good store during in 1920s New Mexico.)
Barbara Graham: Quilted Mystery Series (Theo Abernathy is the owner of a quilting shop in Tennessee. Her husband Tony is the county’s sheriff.)
Dee Henderson: O’Malley Family Mystery Series (This Romantic Suspense series features a family of non-related adults who were abandoned as children. All six of the members have chosen professions that help other people. There’s a paramedic, a fireman, a child psychologist, and a hostage negotiator among them.)
Kate Parker: Victorian Bookshop Mystery Series (Georgia Fenchurch is the sleuth in this Victorian London mystery series. Georgia is a member of the secret “Archivist Society” and is an antiquarian bookseller.

Alice Duncan is an absolute favorite of mine. She writes with panache and humor. Highly recommend the Daisy Gumm and Mercy Alcutt series’ especially. You are in for some great reads!

Alice is on FaceBook and posts a lot of photos of her favorite dogs, Dachshunds.
She is such a lovely person with whom to chat.

I just read the Barbara Graham quilting series and enjoyed it. There are a lot of colorful characters who recur through the different books. I would add however that while the series has cozy elements, it also reads like a police procedural with a number of crimes to be solved in each book.

I’ve read all of Dee Henderson’s O’Malley Family series. While I really enjoyed them, I’ve never thought of them as cozy mysteries. Are you listing noncozy mysteries on your site as well? If so, it’s a very real possibility that I missed that. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with everything. 🙂

Laurel, when Cozy Mystery readers recommend an author who I haven’t read, I have to rely on their judgement. I have asked that only Cozy Mystery authors be recommended.
However, I have quite a few non Cozy authors already on the site. Years ago, I added authors who I enjoy reading like Colin Dexter and Reginald Hill, who both write police procedurals.

I’ve loved “The Vanishing Thief”, and when I was reading it I was thinking about some Amanda Quick’s books but with less romance. I’m eagerly waiting the next one.

Marisa, thanks for telling us about your enjoyment of Kate Parker‘s The Vanishing Thief.
