Has anyone else noticed that the price of some of the (more popular) paperback cozies has gone up a dollar? Between that and many coming out first in hardcover, it has trashed my book budget (of course, staying home most of the time has offset it in other areas).

Susy, it feels like Kindles for bigger names (and usually bigger publishers as a result) have been creeping up as well – though part of that is that they tend to imitate hardback prices as long as possible.
Susy S says
Yes, and the price of hardback have been going up as well. I actually bought a couple that were $29. I am trying to only buy books at a discount since I am retired and on a fixed income.

Susy, yikes – $29 is way too much for a hardback!
Susy S says
I have only bought a couple with that as the list price, and I certainly did not pay that much. I keep a pretty detailed inventory of my books and I noticed when I got the new Sofie Kelly that the books have gone up a dollar each year. 2017 was $23, 2018 was $24, 2019 was $25 and now $26. And these are not even the larger hardbacks. Sometimes it feels like the publishers are trying to push everyone to e-books, which are WAY cheaper for them.
