I have added four new (to me!) authors to the site. I know I keep repeating this, but I want to remind you, these authors have been recommended as belonging on the Cozy Mystery site by some of you.
Sharon Love Cook writes the Rose McNichols Mystery Series, which features a newspaper reporter in a coastal village in New Hampshire. Cook is also a newspaper columnist, who is an illustrator as well as a cartoonist.
Lesley A. Diehl has her Ph. D. in psychology, and has worked as both a professor and a university administrator. Diehl pens the Microbrewers Mystery Series, which features a master brewer as its sleuth. She also writes the Big Lake Mystery Series, which has as its sleuth, Emily Rhodes, a retired preschool teacher who takes up bartending (and sleuthing!) in Florida.
William Doonan is an anthropology professor who has worked as a cruise ship lecturer many times. Doonan writes the Henry Grave Mystery Series, which features an octogenarian who works as a senior cruise ship investigator.
Annelise Ryan (aka Beth Amos) is an emergency room nurse who writes a mystery series which revolves around an ex-nurse. The Mattie Winston Mystery Series is set in Wisconsin, and has her ex-nurse now working as a deputy coroner.
Lesley A. Diehl says
Actualy I write a series called Big Lake Mysteries set in rural Florida. The first is Dumpster Dying, the next will come out this year and is entitled Grilled, Chilled and Killed.
The other series is the Microbrewers series and is set in upstate New York. the first was A Deadly Draught, the next to be released by MMP this May is Poisoned Pairings

Welcome to the site, Lesley.
Oh my goodness! When I looked for information about your mystery books, I missed that they were part of the Big Lake Mystery Series and the Microbrewers Mystery Series. I’m sorry about that, and thank you for the information.

And, Lesley, I’m glad to hear your books are part of a series >>> Series are (to me!) so much more fun to read… getting to know the characters and settings, and being able to revisit them…
Maddy says
Great! That gives me a few more to check out.

I am currently reading the second book in the Mattie Winston Series on my Kindle. Excellent series.

Thank you, Barbara, for telling us about your enjoyment of Annelise Ryan’s Mattie Winston series. It’s always good to hear when people like a series…

Will there be books on places like Kindle that you can’t ever buy? I hope not. I just can’t afford Kindle right now. I would hate to think that any of my favorite writers will be writing for things like “Kindle.”
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Linda, I have no idea what the future will do for books. I do, however, know that some authors who have been cut by their publishers have opted to go the Kindle route…
William Doonan says
Thanks for including me on your site! If there’s anyone out there who loves cruises, I hope you’ll give one of my books a shot. If you do, e-mail me and let me know what you think.
William Doonan
author of ‘Grave Passage’ and ‘Mediterranean Grave’

Welcome to the site, William. I am looking forward to reading your books. Cruise ships & a senior citizen senior investigator sound like a perfect blend to me.

Thanks for keeping us up to date.

Danna:
I’m sorry to be so late in leaving a message of thanks for including me in your numbers. Someone directed me to this blog and I’m so glad I visited. Already I’ve added a couple of new cozies to my “must read” list. During the past month I’ve been busy getting my anthology of short (cozy) mystery stories ready. Many have been published previously and I’ve always wanted to put them together. However, as an ADD-addled author, it’s not always easy getting organized. Nonetheless, the collection titled: LEGEND OF JUDGMENT ROCK and other mystery stories, will soon be out. Thank you for including me in your roster. Have a dy-no-mite Fourth of July. Sharon Love Cook
