Once again, I’ll be taking a break on this one…although, I have been eyeballing that Lucy Stone series for a while now. Hmmmmmm…
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Bek, not sure if this will sway you or not, but it might be worth looking at the entry I wrote on the Lucy Stone series if you’re on the fence!
Bek says
Yes, thanks, that did help considerably. For now, I’m going to put it on my “Maybe” list. It does look good, but there are MANY others that will come first. For now. LOL, that tends to change without warning!
Susy S says
I am trying to avoid that series, and any others by Leslie Meier as she seems pretty prolific and I need to read down the stacks before I get sucked into another author.
I did read three new authors on vacation, but they all have a limited list of 4 to 5 books, which is probably doable.
Bek says
As I said, “Maybe” pile. I’ve read one of them, and really did enjoy it, but…there are 1800+ books on the “to read” list right now, and I have the entire “The Cat Who” series, the entire “Leaphorn and Chee” (to date) series, AND all but the last two “Aunt Dimity” series here at the house and waiting, PLUS two other series with 10 or fewer books in them, AND a handful of stand-alones!
I have to get a grip…and a bigger house with a large library, and a winning lottery ticket!
Susy S says
If you do get that winning lottery ticket and bigger house, make sure you have lots of wall space. Too many windows may give great light, but they don’t leave as much room for bookcases as we need. (voice of experience here)
Bek says
I’ll make a note of that. Actually, I don’t like lots of big windows. Maybe in ONE room, but I want my bedroom dim and cool, for sure. I do like a bright kitchen and dining area, but the rest of it doesn’t bother me one bit.

Love the Kate Shackleton cover! A Maisie Dobbs style.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Regina, it’s definitely an interesting stylistic choice!
