I decided to try something different for the book I am reading for next month’s Most Popular and Recommended Cozy Mystery Series post. This time around I thought I would tell you well in advance the book that I will write about next month (probably late in May). This way, if you all want to read the book too, you can if you want. Then, those of us who have read the book can talk about it in the comments after the post.
Anyway, I have read enough of this first book in Paige Shelton’s Scottish Bookshop Mystery Series, The Cracked Spine, to know for sure that it will be worth writing about — and discussing!
So, if you get a chance to pick up this book and read it before I post my thoughts on it (sometime near the end of May), we maybe could have a fun discussion!

I just finished reading that one and I really enjoyed it! Love the cozy setting of the “old town” part of Edinburgh and where she ends up living. I can tell these characters are going to feel like good friends as the series progresses. Can’t wait to read the next one!!

I love this series. Edwin is the kind of boss I would move around the world to work for.

Danna, I LOVE this idea for an ongoing post on your blog.
Now you have inspired me for ideas for both of my WordPress Blogs, as well as my YouTube Channel.
Thank you for that.

All the books in this series are well worth reading. This first one is great and sets the stage well. Just finished the latest in this series – The Loch Ness Papers- and it is another great read!

I enjoy Paige Shelton’s books because she’s a creative story teller, and her characters are always well developed with some depth and intricacies.
I’ve read the first two books in this series and am a little behind. I’ve got Lost Bones and Old Scones on my bookshelf……….waiting TBR! Hmmmm………maybe I’ll pick it up next. 🙂

I will check this out, but have found two of her Farmers Market series at the library bookshop, they look good also. Thanks.

I read the entire Cooking School series this month. I was going to take a break, but this recommendation and my favorite independent bookstore is going to be reading The Loch Ness Papers as the cozy book club selection AND Paige Shelton will be doing a signing there this coming month.

I read pretty fast, but I am missing one of the books, so I may have to read out of order (horrors).
