“How about another rave or two to add to the list? My new summer yummy discovery is in Walmart’s soda dept. It is ‘Coconut Wave’. Danna has told us how much she enjoys peach Fresca, as do I. However, it isn’t distributed where I live.
In June, I found this display of 2 liter beverages at Walmart. In the display was their lemonade, pink lemonade, cherry limeade, and this one called ‘coconut wave’ (ALL are carbonated and calorie free). Of course, I was intrigued and decided to try it. It’s like 7-up/Sprite with a little coconut flavoring – very refreshing. The flavor is distinctive, so if you don’t like coconut you won’t like this. It’s also good with a little of Torani’s peach/raspberry flavoring added to it.
In early July, I noticed they no longer had any of this soda. So sa-a-a-d (I thought it was gone for the summer). However, when I went back to Walmart the other day, they had a huge display with several dozen of the Coconut Wave. YEA! I bought many bottles so I have a ‘supply’ (even gave some to friends to ‘try’). It probably won’t be available in the fall.
I don’t like coffee or tea, so soda is my beverage of choice.
I also discovered Oreo’s Raspberry Fudge Crèmes. Another Yum! It’s like their fudge covered mint cookies only raspberry instead of the mint.”
MJ, I’m going to look for the Coconut Wave. Is it in Walmart’s carbonated sparkling water see-through bottles? I like two of those flavors, although all of them are pretty good.

I just read that Barbara Mertz aka Elizabeth Peters has died. Has anyone else heard this? Her Amelia Peabody series is one of my all-time favorites. She will be greatly missed!

Danna, these summer sodas/pops are usually with the other Walmart sodas (like the colas, etc), generally near the pepsi, coke, and 7-up products. However, a few days ago the Walmart near my home had a huge display of them in the long aisle by the groceries. I think all their 2 liter soda bottles are ‘see-through’ or clear. The Coconut Wave has a bluish tinge to it. By the way, last summer they had a carbonated peach lemonade which I also liked, but it wasn’t available this year (at least not in my city).

MJ, my husband and I went to Walmart yesterday, and it looks like our’s doesn’t carry the Coconut Wave calorie-free soda. I thought perhaps since we both like the Fresca Peach, I might like the Coconut Wave.

Has anyone else tried the Oikos yogurt dips? I bought the French Onion this past weekend, and it is so good! I like it much better than the regular dips. Yum! The raspberry Oreos sound wonderful. Will have to look fort these at the store.

Patti S, I haven’t tried them, but I would have to put them in a generic container to have my husband even try one chip in them. (Yes, every once in a while I have to masquerade food for him to give it a fair chance.)

Irenem, unless they make a sugar-free version of them, they won’t be seeing the inside of our house. (They obviously sound too good to be sugar-free!)

At my local Walmart these summer sodas are in the liquor aisle! My favorite summer drink from Walmart is mango lemonade, it’s wonderful! I haven’t tried the low calorie version, just the regular version, but it’s great!

Colleen, I looked for the mango lemonade yesterday, and found it. Unfortunately our Walmart doesn’t carry a sugar-free version of it. (I was all excited to try these flavors!)

Danna, I wonder how good this drink would be poured over ice cubes then had a drop or two of rum added to the mixture?? I might try to discover this out for myself today, this being a perfect summer day for that sort of drink!!
