Danna: Glad to see that there is at least one book with a Thanksgiving theme. I love the Pennyfoot Hotel Christmas mysteries. They are my definition of a real “cozy”. I would like to point out that “Double Knit Murders” is a reprint of the first two books in the Knitting Mystery series by Maggie Sefton. Happy Fall reading!

Do you know of a mystery author named Elaine M. St. James? She writes the “Silver Sisters” series. Thank you

Any suggestions for cozy book mysteries for a 9 year old??
Holly says
NanaB — for a 9 year old, try the Sammy Keyes series. Great mysteries for the ‘tween set (and adults can enjoy them too — I’m proof!). Well written, tons of fun, lots of humor, spunky young teen detective — sort of Nancy Drew of 21st century.

I can’t tell you how much I love this website! I look forward to checking in every month to see what’s coming up! I could’nt stand it if I didn’t have this list to refer to when buying new books! Thanks so much for all the great information. Keep up the great work!
I too, was dissappointed to see that the new Sefton book was a repeat…sigh…I look forward to a new title soon!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Elizabeth, I’m glad you enjoy the site AND thank you for the kind words.
I know that there is always an excitement when you see that one of your favorite authors is releasing a new book. What a bummer to find out that the book (with a new title) is only a compilation of two previously-released books.
