ALWAYS good to see a new Clea Simon out! I’m just getting ready to start on the Pru Marlow series, so this was timed PERFECTLY!
Danna, a propos nothing from this notification, can you tell me what happened to Madelyn Alt’s “In Charm’s Way”? I can’t find it anywhere. Was it actually not released? I tried B&N, Amazon, Books-a-Million, Thriftbooks, Abebooks…everything I could think of!

Bek, I don’t think the book ever came out, and I don’t know if it ever will. Madelyn Alt sort of fell off the radar 2012 or so, three years before the supposed 2015 release of “In Charm’s Way”, which doesn’t seem to have actually occurred – certainly her page on Random House’s website doesn’t still have it listed, though Amazon and others do have entries but no books for sale. Since then, I haven’t heard of any live appearances (book signings, convention attendance, etc.), and her online presence (Facebook, Twitter) also seems to stop around then. So I don’t know if she passed, or if she retired for whatever reason, but I wouldn’t expect “In Charm’s Way” to come out any time soon. Still, she may surface – I’ve been surprised before by authors I’ve thought completely finished suddenly returning to favorite series!

Thank, Danna, I’ll keep it on my “To Buy” list, but with a notation. I did a bit of digging, and did find this from a last known blog post:
]February 4, 2012.
She wraps it up with this:
So, that’s how I’m working today on conjuring a balance in my life. Because there is more to creativity than just sitting in front of a computer in isolation for hours on end every day. Creativity needs tactile and colorific experiences to maintain its health. So do we all!
Love to all and wishing you warm spring blessings,
Mad {madly!}
It leaves me hoping that this wonderful author is just…out, living life to the fullest, and finding that balance, experiencing those tactile and colorful experiences.
Where ever you are, Mad, we wish you so very well.

Bek, I hope you’re right! Sometimes it’s just time to make a life change, and that does sound like a message on those lines.
