I still have the Down South Cafe series on my “want” list. OH, a friend just recommended the Gourmet Cat series by Kathy Krevat. I don’t see her in your list, so you might look into it.

I also love the Peculiar Crimes Unit series, though I could not get through the last one before Wild Chamber. Hope I haven’t missed much if I skip it altogether. It’s mad of me but I always worry for Crippen.
