You forgot Valerie S. Malmont. She also writes about Pa. Just finished her Tori Miracle Pennsylvania Dutch Mystery Series. GREAT!!!! Wish there was more from this series. I can’t wait to try the others that you mentioned. The only other one I knew that wrote of Pa. was Tamar Myers.

Yikes! Thank you, Nancy, for reminding me. I am going to go add her to the list right now…

Thank you for this website. Love cozy mysteries but i like you include patterson, mary higgins clark, jennifer chiaverini and catherine coulter. You help me reserve books in advance and not be 160 out of 160 anymore. Thanks again. PS does any one else notice if the sleuth is female they mostly end up with a boyfriend cop.

You’re welcome, Faith M. I’m glad you’re enjoying the site.
Regarding the almost perfunctory boyfriend detective (either police or private), you might enjoy reading this blog entry. If you do, make sure you read the comments!

What about Guideposts The Secrets of the Blue Hill Library. It’s a new series they started last year. Can’t seem to find any blog mentioned about this series on the Cozy Mystery list. I believe they have 10 books out so far.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Shirley, is this a mystery series?
Ann Garczynski says
Does anyone know if a series set in Gettysburg, PA? Modern day would be my choice but historical is okay too. Thanks.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Ann, I don’t know of any series that are set in Gettysburg, however I do know of two mystery books that are set there:
Jane Langton‘s The Deserter: Murder at Gettysburg from her HOMER KELLY Series.
Leslie Wheeler‘s Murder at Gettysburg from her LIVING HISTORY MYSTERY Series.
Maybe someone else knows of whole series…
Candi says
Looking for a series done perhaps 20 years ago or so about a young lady who lives in south Pennsylvania in the mountains between Gettysburg and waynesboro. It is not historic. There were at least three I believe….could be more. She might have been in medical profession? I wish I could remember more! Any help is appreciated!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Candi, unfortunately I don’t recognize the series offhand! Perhaps someone else could help, or I’ll add it to a list of potential questions for the next time I post a questions post (we are about due actually).
Jennifer Felix says
Have you ever read Gillian Roberts’ Philadelphia set mysteries? They are one of my favorites.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Jennifer, I don’t believe I have, though the name does sound familiar! Maybe it’s just been a while? Either way, I’ll add her to my list of authors to check out when I have the time.

Kathy Kearns says
The Zoe Chambers mysteries, written by Annette Dashofy, take place in western Pennsylvania. The main character is an EMT and deputy coroner in a rural township. Great story lines and writing!
