Hello. I’m trying to think of a GA mystery writer who has a character by the name of Will Trent who is an FBI agent who has dyslexia. He is married to a woman who was in an orphanage with him. What is the writer’s name? I would like to read more of her books if I could only think of her name. Help?
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Hi Peg,
I believe the author who you are looking for is Karin Slaughter. She writes a series featuring a Will Trent, who works for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Umm… Actually only the first one ‘Frankly My Dear, I’m Dead’, takes place in Georgia. The others are all set in different parts of the South. (Florida, Louisiana and on a riverboat on the Mississippi. – Would that qualify for your ‘Cruise’ mysteries, Danna? Lol!)

I started a series a few years back and lost them when moving. Would love to pick them back up but need serious help. Can’t remember name or author. Hoping someone might have some idea. A young, just out of school lawyer inherits an old Savannah building and decides to use it. Becomes detective and there is a family ghost that goes with it. Any clue whatsoever, anyone?

I recently discovered “Grace’s Augusta Mysteries” by Charmain Zimmerman Brackett. They are based in Augusta, GA, home of the Masters Golf Tournament. I lived there for many years and my son is a deputy there still. I haven’t read the series yet.
