Here is the very last of the hobby/craft themes in the cozy mysteries on this website. I am sure that there are many more authors who I am simply not familiar with, or who I overlooked when I first set out to compile this list. If you can think of any authors of series who would fall in these categories, please post a comment…
Sarah Atwell (aka Sheila Connolly) pens the Glassblowing Mystery Series.
Maggie Bruce is the editor of an anthology which features fifteen mystery authors who have woven a type of craft/hobby into the mystery they submitted for the book. Murder Most Crafty is the name of this very novel book. Also, Bruce authors the Gourd Craft Mystery Series.
Nancy Haddock writes the Silver Six Crafty Mystery Series.
Cheryl Hollon writes the Webb’s Glass Shop Mystery Series.
Mary Ellen Hughes writes the Craft Corner Mystery Series.
Hailey Lind writes the Art Lover’s Mystery Series.
Meg Macy (aka 1/2 of D.E. Ireland): Teddy Bear Mystery Series
Jenn McKinlay (aka Josie Belle & Lucy Lawrence): Hat Shop Mystery Series
Cricket McRae (aka Bailey Cates): Home Crafting Mystery Series.
Barbara Jaye Wilson writes the Brenda Midnight Mystery Series that is set in the millinery world.
Lois Winston writes the Anastasia Pollack Crafting Mystery Series which has a craft magazine editor as its sleuth.

Juliann says
You might add Maggie Bruce-The Gourdmother and The Gourdfellas. About gourd crafting. Thanks
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Thanks, Juliann for pointing that out. I must have gotten distracted and only listed her craft anthology.
Thanks, again….Danna
Rochelle says
What a great site, don’t forget to include John J Lamb, he writes the Teddy Bear collectors series.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Hi Rochelle,
I have included John J. Lamb on the dollhouse miniature, doll making, and teddy bears post. But, he would be a great addition to the miscellaneous theme, also.
Ann says
How about Monica Ferris’ series about a craft shop
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Ann, I put Monica Ferris’ Needlecraft Mystery Series in the Knitting Cozy Mysteries & Needlecraft / Needlework Cozy Mysteries theme…
Rusty says
I have read several books where the main character is a glass blower with her own shop. I cannot remember the author but her books were great. If anyone recognizes these books, they would fit this category perfect and other readers could find a good read series.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Rusty, I believe you are thinking of Sarah Atwell (aka Sheila Connolly)>>> and thank you for reminding me to add Atwell’s Glassblowing Mystery Series to this Miscellaneous Crafting theme.
Wanda says
Please suggest some cozy mysteries without profanity. I love Joanne Fluke as well as Emily Brightwell, but have read all of them.
Thank you.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Hi Wanda, I have an entry called Mysteries with No Profanity that you might want to check out.
Linda says
Cricket McRae writes a homecrafting series
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Thanks, Linda, I’ll go add Cricket McRae to the Crafting theme list of mystery authors. I don’t know how I missed her.
Mo says
There should be a dried flower/wreath mystery series! Maybe someday!!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Mo, I haven’t read Mary Ellen Hughes’ Wreath of Deception, so I don’t know if it actually deals with making wreaths, but if it does, at least there’s one mystery book with that theme…
Cassie @ For the Art of It says
I read a cozy mystery a few summers ago but can’t remember the author – it was a first book and I’d love to check for more.
I know that the main character had a relationship that went bad and moved to England – London – to escape bad press. Her grandmother was a milliner and had a shop there that she left to her and her cousin (who has been running it).
If you can offer any help I would sure appreciate it! Thank you!
Janice says
The series that you are talking about is written by Jenn McKinley. The second book just came out last month.
