Jennifer, I think that’s the reason Lynn T. wrote me, to introduce people to Jeanne M. Dams.

I wanted to read a Dorothy Martin book by Jeanne Dams after reading the monthly recommendations by readers on this website. Whenever I went to Amazon, the early books were out of print and not available in kindle format. I would click on “yes” I would like to read this book in kindle format. I would check back and there wasn’t a change.
In early December 2012, I read A Killer’s Christmas In Wales. Dorothy Martin made a cameo appearance at Penny’s Brannigan’s spa. I thought “That’s it. I am going to find a copy of “The Body In the Transept.”
Checked Amazon-no luck. Was able to find it at the library.
Recently stumbled across the information on Amazon that on Dec. 22nd, they put the first four books in Kindle form. However, they did not link it to the main book page with the hard back book, paperback, etc. So it can be more difficult to find. Thought maybe someone else might be interested in trying an out of print series that many seem to like. I am going to continue with the series.

Lynn, this constantly aggravates me, too. I finally discovered a few months ago that to ensure you find ALL Kindle books, search by the author’s name (not go to their Amazon page). Also, if an author goes by their initials (e.g., J.A. Doe), sometimes you need to search for J A Doe and JA Doe. I sent Amazon a note about this after seeing the cover for Penny Warner’s latest book on her Amazon page, but it wasn’t in her list. The almost canned response was that the book was on Amazon and could be found by searching. Duh! Oh, yeah, and another stumbling block is when the first and last names are transposed. I think it was during the Severn sale a couple of months ago that I noticed several like that. Can’t remember the authors now, but it wasn’t like their names were John Sampson or McDonald Hampton.

At any rate, keep on clicking the “I would like to read this book on Kindle” button because maybe somebody will realize when passing the info to the publisher that the book is already Kindlized.

And, there are websites that will notify you when books are Kindlized although that is dependent on Amazon’s info and can be after the real date.

If any of y’all want to try cozy fantasy, Frank Tuttle’s “The Mister Trophy” is free today. I LOVE the Markhat series (Markhat is the character. He’s a “finder” otherwise known as a PI). These are great little reads–I think they are cozy enough to be considered cozies, but they do have a LOT of atmosphere. Dead Man’s Rain and The Cadaver Client are both excellent ghost stories. The Mister Trophy is more a story about trolls, but it has its heartwarming moments, trust me!!!

They’re wonderful books. I have them all in hardcover. I am reading Elizabeth J Duncan’s A Killers Christmas in Wales when there’s a woman at the reception with a bright red hat on and introduces herself as Dorothy Martin!! I had to look them up to cross reference and sure enough I find all of you here! What a great idea to throw in characters from other books!!!
    Enjoy everyone!
