Just one this time, and it is actually already on the list, I was just awaiting publication! YAY for Aunt Dimity!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Bek, sounds like a very achievable list for the month then!
Susy S says
Five on my must buy and two on my I’d like to buy. Ouch.
I don’t buy coffee at a coffee shop, I take my lunch to work, I only buy clothes when the ones I have are starting to look rough around the edges, and even then, I never pay full price. I wonder what else I can cut out.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Susy, that’s a rough month on the wallet! Sorry to add to your budgeting woes…
Susy says
Right now September looks even worse. Guess I skip vacation this year….
Bek says
Well…If you have an electric water heater, and you can schedule it, keep the water heater turned off. Turn it on an hour before baths and major dishes. The water will actually stay fairly hot for 24 hours, so you can do those “odds and ends” things just fine. That should save as much as $30-$40 on your electric bill.
Bek says
OH…do this at the breaker box.
Susy S says
I have decided to raise the temperature on the A/C by one degree and lower the heat by one degree. It is not noticeable, but it does save money on the power bills.
We already have a tank-less water heater and and it is amazing how much you can save and you NEVER run out of hot water.
Bek says
I’m wildly jealous! I live in an apartment, and should I EVER be able to purchase a home, a tankless water heater is the TOP of my list of possible upgrades!
Yes, I adjusted my thermostat last year as well, and the savings were FAR FAR more than I had anticipated! Which, given the length of my “to read” list is a very good thing, indeed!
Barb says
Try your local library. I get almost every book I want for free!
Pam says
I am so glad to see the Lighthouse Library series by Eva Gates continue.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Pam, so am I!
Lynn T. says
I read that Lea Wait who is writing as Cornelia Kidd is having a new series start in June. The book is Death and a Pot of Chowder.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Lynn, thanks for the heads up! It’s always a struggle to keep up with new pseudonyms…
Coni says
Yikes! I want to read all of them. I love cozy mysteries. Of course I must be sensible in my purchase. Will these be available on Kindle?
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Coni, most will likely be available on Kindle, but I’m not sure about all of them.
Janice G says
I was looking at the new books list on my library website and they show a new Jeanne M. Dams book “Crisis at the Cathedral” as coming out in June. There was only one person on the wait list so I shouldn’t have too long a wait for it.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Janice, thanks for the heads up! I’ve added this one to the list.
NANCY Wonson says
Found a “First in a Series” that I really enjoyed. Confessions of a Red Herring by Dana Dratch. She is a former reporter who gets caught up in a double-dealing CEO. Many twists and turns and an enjoyable family.
