I was busy in other genres last month, this month back to cozies. I collected so many book recommendations, I finally created a spreadsheet of those recommended that my library has available; I sorted it based on Amazon reviews. I have the first book in 10 series on hold when available. Where I love my regular series (some listed below), I enjoy starting new series, and will hopefully soon.
I read the latest Baskets and Beignets in Jana DeLeon’s Miss Fortune series (first book Louisiana Longshot). Still one of my absolute favorite series with multi generational fun set in a bayou town.
I read the latest Yowls in the Yarrow in Dale Mayer’s Lovely Lethal Gardens series (first book Arsenic in the Azaleas). Another of my absolute favorite series with family pet fun set in British Columbia.
I read The House of Good and Evil and Wedded to Trouble in Sarah Osborne’s Dittie Brown series (first book Too Many Crooks Spoil the Plot). This series is set in the south and centers around families built through caring more than blood.
I finished the rest of the available library books in Angie Fox’s Southern Ghost Hunter (Paranormal Cozy) series (first book Southern Spirits). This series has a ghost from the past and in each book you meet other people from the past and learn a little of southern history which I really enjoy.
I also thought I would give a shout out to an author I re-read some books from, because she has passed there won’t be new ones. Elizabeth Peters wrote the Amelia Peabody series (first book Crocodile on the Sandbank). The author was an actual archaeologist who did a lot of research to make the books period accurate, from clothing to method of travel to what was happening in archeology at the time and more. You learn a lot about Egyptian history. The first book is a little hokey, but as you delve deeper into the series, they are fun cozy reads, in her first book she is single, her last book she is a grandmother.

I also read Death in Castle Dark by Veronica Bond, missed it in my above review. I enjoyed this start to a new series. There are actors working in a Castle in the middle of farm country hosting murder mysteries. Of course a real mystery happens.
