Why release a Christmas themed mystery (Not a Creature Was Stirring) on January 22? I’d certainly like to know the reasoning behind that decision. Does the publisher prefer people wait until next Nov. to buy it (because that’s the optimum time to read it)?

Is your new release list of books in hard cover? Or is it a list of paper backs? If it is hard cover, how many months back should we check the lists for books that are currently being released in paper back?

Sara, the list is for the first release I am aware of for a given novel – so if it is released in hardback, that is likely the listing.

I’ve noticed that when the first release is a hardcover, the Amazon link frequently gives you the option to click on the “paperback” option, and that option will show you the expected release date for that version.
