Melissa says
Lots of great new books coming out! Thanks for the list!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Melissa, you’re welcome!
Aye says
I am not familiar with many of these writers, but I do know Patricia Cornwell and Thomas Perry. Perhaps, you might want to add a disclaimer warning that these two authors, at least, are hardly COZY writers or that their books fall into this category?
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Aye, at the top of both the Patricia Cornwell page and the Thomas Perry page, I have that they are not Cozy. Thanks for the reminder!
Sheila in CT says
Danna. Thank you for the Jan 2017 new book release list. Many great books to start the new year. Decision: What to read first? My TBR list keep growing, and growing and growing. Need I say more.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Sheila, I certainly know what you mean! I’m trying to pick out books to put on my list for next year as well.
Susy says
I am new to the site but really appreciate the lists of book soon to be released.
Sadly, my pile list now fills two book cases. I read pretty quick, but life and work keep getting in the way. Looking forward to retirement (the end on 2018) and hopefully getting down to just one book cases. I know there are worse addictions than books, but most don’t take up as much space.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Susy, I definitely know how you feel. I know it isn’t for everyone, but one thing I really appreciate about my Kindle is how it is the size of a single book but can hold my entire library.
Gwyn says
Yes, thanks for the list. Is “book shot” as described in Patterson’s shorter books listed above; a new “coined” term for cozy mysteries?
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Gwyn, “Book Shots” seem to be what James Patterson is now calling his “novella” length books – longer than a story but not as long as a full novel.
Margaret StashEmpress says
I’m I the only one who finds this list downright overwhelming??? Never thought I’d say there was such a thing as too many books (but then — there didn’t used to BE too many books!)
That said, overjoyed to see a new Regan Reilly — its been 5 years since the last one!!!!
And of course a new Puzzle Lady title is always so much fun!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Margaret, I definitely have a good idea what you mean – there are definitely a lot of books on this list I want to read! Hopefully I can find the time.
Rob says
Just finished Brushed with Death by Elizabeth J Duncan and also reading her Shakespeare series Untimely Death. Both series are a delight and looking forward to each new one in the series.
The Penny Brannigan series set in the Welsh town of Llanellen is
just as good as the Shakespeare series in the Catskills of New York.
So if you need a new series or author-I found this author purely by mistake but the best one I ever made to try someone new!
