I’ll Be In and Out, While My Husband Is In, and Until He Is Back…

September 2, 2011

I just wanted to mention that I will be in and out during the next few days. My husband has been admitted into the hospital (he has a recurring health condition that necessitates a hospital stay every few years) so I will be spending a lot of time at the hospital. I will continue to post your comments, I just won’t be very good about posting my comments. (I haven’t been doing much answering during the last few days, but his hospital stay should be a short one.)

I have a few entries already written that will post automatically, as I post dated them. My husband actually likes me to not stay with him all the time he is in hospital so he can try to sleep… As most of you know, the hospital halls are rather loud, so when you’re in, you try to catch your ZZZZs when you can.

I’ll let you all know when he is home, which should be very soon. But, with this being a holiday weekend, you never know >>> since you have to wait until a doctor discharges you, even though you might think you should be able to head on home.

You know what they say: Bad things do indeed happen to good people!

Best wishes to both of you! Danna, please take your time and don’t worry – we’ll still be here when you get back! (You don’t get rid of us that easily! Lol!)
    Cheers,
    Susan

P.S. You don’t have to post this, btw. I was just too lazy to look up your contact addy! 🙂

Thoughts and Prayers being sent to your husband and of course you too.

Please take the time to take care of him (and yourself). I am sure we all understand if you do not update or post during this time. Whether it is one day or a few days, your family comes first!

Take care Danna, hope everything comes out okay for you & your family. Have a good holiday weekend. If your hubby is going to be in the hospital for a few days, he must have something serious. My sister had a hysterectomy( close enough) this past Wednesday: she came home Thursday!!!
Yes, bad things do happen to good people and by the way—— good people can often do bad things.
I commented this past week that I had a rough time trying to find a book that looked good enough to read for this holiday weekend. I found one book by Deborah Crombie that I haven’t read. Also I found 4 books by Kate Welhelm that I haven’t read.( I haven’t found the first two books of this series). . I just started reading her Barbara Holloway series. I also have 1 book by Maeve Binchy to read. I guess I will get by. Gas is too expensive to go anywhere for the weekend. Sometimes I pick up books by new-to-me authors at garage sales. I try to save those for when I can’t find anything good at the library. I guess a reader can always find something good to read.
I love your blog. Hope I don’t wear out my welcome!

I’m so sorry to hear that your husband is in hospital. I hope he recovers quickly and returns home.

Please don’t worry about posting entries or comments. Your husband is far more important.

Danna, hope everything works out for you and your husband. Recurring health problems are never a welcomed intrusion in our lives. Hopefully, he can get back on his feet right away.

Danna, am back at my computer after being sick with bronchitis and am so sorry to hear about your hubby’s illness. Glad to see he’s back home and on the mend. Prayers and good thoughts, as always, go to you & your family.

Danna, speaking of husbands—-do you ever think that an author killing off certain longtime characters is a mistake? What I am referring to is Diane Mott Davidson killing off Goldie’s exhusband “The Jerk.” This character was a jerk and he needed to be taken down a peg or two but I think he got off easy when he was killed off. I would have liked to see a confrontation with Goldie’s new hubby and the Jerk! And a lot more interaction with the “other wives.”
I am not sure exactly what I mean here but I just think the stories lost something when the “Jerk” was killed off! Him getting killed just wasn’t enough!!

Linda, it’s been a while since I read the mystery with his demise, but he sure did make a good villain, didn’t he?
