I hope all of you have terrific 2010s!
Can you believe that it’s been a whole ten years since the worry-mongers were trying to convince everyone that all of the computers in the world would go crazy/awry when the clocks rang in 2000!?! “Y2K” was being touted as the end of all computerized clocks, calendars, ETC. I even remember reading that some people were actually stock-piling goods because of the worry-mongers’ predictions!
I am still reading my current books from my last entry. I don’t make much headway with my reading when all five (Yes, Sprite – our puppy – is included in that count!) of us are together.
Besides our holiday movie-viewing, we have taken in several of David Suchet’s Poirot shows during the last two weeks, as well as some Murder She Wrote episodes. I love seeing all of the guest stars from the (late) 30s, 40s and 50s movies. (Most of the movies were made before I was born, but since I grew up during the time when those movies were televised during the late night hours, I got to know the Golden Age of Hollywood “stars” as if I had grown up with them.)
Happy New Year to all of you!

Isn’t it funny to remember the whole big deal people made of Y2K? And now it’s been 10 years. Where did they go?
Really enjoy this blog, by the way. Always something good to read about. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all the cozy readers. Thanks for keeping the site so interesting and useful Danna. I received the Castle book for Christmas and I had to read it before the others in line. May 2010 be all everyone wants it to be.
Best wishes from Macon, Georgia.

Happy New Year to you! DH (then just the living in sin partner) and I were in Vegas to see in 2000. If the world was going to end, might as well be in a colorful city.

I love Murder She Wrote, for one thing because of the numerous guest stars. Especially after all these years, it is a blast to see what they looked like years ago.
Have a great 2010, Danna, and I always look forward to your interesting posts.

I think that the reason I so enjoy watching the Murder She Wrote shows is seeing all of the old “stars”… Watching Jessica interject herself in the middle of crimes every week… most of the time at the urging of one of her MANY friends around the world… is purely a delight for me now. The other night, my husband and I saw an episode with a very grown “Wally” (Tony Dow) from the old Leave it to Beaver show. Where else would we be treated to that sort of fun?!?
