Yes, yes, I know I have said I wouldn’t be doing these Hallmark M & M entries – because the channels website is so difficult (and secretive!) to navigate, but I spent some time on it today looking around and thought I would tell you about some upcoming mystery movies I noticed. (They actually have a new website format which I find even more difficult than their previous format!)
Getting back to the good Cozy Mystery news from the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel:
MORNING SHOW MYSTERY: MORTAL MISHAPS Premiered
“Billie Blessings has gone from beloved chef, restaurant owner, and morning show segment host to #1 suspect in a murder case when one of the executives at the network dies from poisoning. When the head chef at Billie’s restaurant is arrested and held as a suspect, Billie takes matters into her own hands by digging deeper into a mystery that could incriminate people close to her while risking her own life in the process. Stars Holly Robinson Peete and Rick Fox.”
(Based on Hal Roker‘s Billy Blessing Mystery Series – which actually featured a male sleuth/chef, thus the change in the spelling of Billie/Billy…)
This series premiered on Sunday, January 21 >>> but I missed it. So, here are the next showings (in central time zone):
Wednesday, January 24, 2018 8:00 PM
Saturday, January 27, 2018 10:00 PM
Tuesday, January 30, 2018 8:00 PM
Friday, February 9, 2018 8:00 PM

DARROW & DARROW
“Claire Darrow, a lawyer, fights for what’s right, regardless of whether it makes her a dime. Naomi, Claire’s estranged mother and a lawyer as well, would rather make a profit. They clash on nearly everything, even on the best way to raise Claire’s daughter, Louise. Stars Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Tom Cavanagh, Wendie Malick.”
The above descriptions were copied from the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries site.
Karen says
Thank you all 3 sound fabulous, I’m not sure if we get that channel here in Canada but they do show the Aurora Teagarden mysteries.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Karen, that’s not a huge surprise – I’m not sure about Aurora Teagarden specifically, but my understanding is that a fair number of the Hallmark Mystery Movies are actually filmed in Canada.
Wilnet Louise says
Hi I am a new fan to the Aurora Teagarden Mystery Series.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Wilnet, well I hope you enjoy the movies as well!
Marla says
Sorry Danna but only the Morning Show one is a premier. All the others were premiered this month. Saw them all- they were very good!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Marla, I guess I really wasn’t kidding when I said I don’t go to their website very often. Somehow this doesn’t surprise me. Finding out if a movie is premiering is just one more of the website’s problems. I also missed both of the other movies. Good to hear they are both “very good”. Thank you for letting me know.
Lora says
Darrow & Darrow premiered in 2017. There was a second Emma Fielding movie on January 14th.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Lora, I took off the premiere notice for Darrow & Darrow.
Elizabeth Mahon says
If you sign up for their newsletter, you will find out the premiere dates without having to go their website.
Lee says
I have found the best way to check is bring the guide up once a week and scroll through to find what I want to watch on Hallmark. That way I (hopefully) don’t miss anything!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Lee, sounds like looking once a week might be an easy way to navigate through their website. I think I’m going to go back to simply doing my Turner Classic Movies channel mystery movies entries. They actually provide a monthly easy-to-read guide.
Oh well, now I have three mystery movies to catch up on. Either way, I think the new movie looks like a winner to me…
Will EVERLY says
I have really enjoyed the HMM movies. There is so much to watch and the stories are a great distraction from the chaos of the moment.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Will, I know how you feel, though mostly I indulge in older TCM movies.
Karen Cooper says
I’m hoping for more Hannah Swensen movies.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Karen, you’re not the only one!
Steve says
Me too! I love the “Murder She Baked” mysteries and Allison Sweeney!
Billie says
Hi, Hallmark also has a series based on Emma Fielding’s character, an archeologist who gets involved in modern mysteries.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Billie, thanks for the suggestion! I’ll have to take a look at that one some time soon!
Billie says
Sorry I couldn’t think of the author’s name.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Billie, that’s alright – I believe the author of the Emma Fielding mysteries is Dana Cameron.
Kelly says
Bring back Murder She Baked! It can’t end after the l last one! There needs to be more! Please bring it back!
LaShaun Washington says
Yes I love the Murder She Baked series and their are so many books for the series! I truly hope you give us more of the Murder She Baked movies they are very fun!
Kathy I. says
Please bring Yannick Bisson back as Martin in the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries.
Marianne Derichsweiler says
I also miss Martin and John. John was a big part of the show and Martin, an added plus.
Marianne Derichsweiler says
I wish HM&M would bring the old line back. I am tired of watching the same movies and programs over and over. What happened to Jesse Stone, the afternoon movies like The Class, The cupcake movies. Everyday, reruns. How many times a month do we need to see Garage Sale Mysteries, and the same weekend line up. Please mix it up. This is getting old. No offense, but I am looking for a different favorite channel.
What about Signed, Sealed, and Delivered. We get one movie a day, and see the same one on the weekend.
PLEASE
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Marianne, it does sometimes seem like Hallmark makes some interesting choices in programming.
Marianne Derichsweiler says
To add, since I wrote this last week, NOW, they took away the one movie and added 2 more Murder She Wrote movies. Come on, please, give us something to watch besides rerun and serial shoes.
What is up with weekends also? What happened to Jesse Stone and Signed Sealed and Delivered? The women of mystery is really overdone. I enjoyed Flower Shop mystery, but I am happy about Dad now vs Darrow.
I hope you will take this under advisement.
Mary Morrison says
Will Yannick Bisson be back as Martin in the Aurora Teagarden mysteries? I know Charlaine Harris has his character die of a heart attack at the end of one of her books. But Martin in the book is quite different from Martin in the movie series. First of all in the book he’s 15 years older than Aurora and at some point Martin and Aurora marry. In the book in which Martin dies he and Aurora have been married for 2 years when his niece shows up with the baby. In the movie Martin only gets shot in the shoulder. In the movie version Aurora and Martin are really good together and much closer in age. I hope he comes back!!!!!!!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Mary, I’m afraid I don’t know. He isn’t credited in the latest Aurora Teagarden movie according to IMDB, so it could be that he won’t be back… or that movie didn’t need him, or IMDB was incorrect.
Darlene Marshall says
Any word that another Murder she baked movie is coming?? That is my favorite series!!!
Darlene Marshall says
Yes!!!!!! Please bring Martin and John back!!!!!
SueP says
I agree!! Please, please bring back Martin!!
LaShaun Washington says
I would like more Murder She Baked mysteries!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
LaShaun, so would many of us here!
LaShaun Washington says
So is it going to happen I know it would make alot of people happy you have to sweet talk Allison Sweeney lol!
Karen Bergmann says
I wish they would also bring back the Flower Shop Mysteries with Brook Shields. I enjoyed them.
