As I mentioned in an earlier post, the Hallmark channels are starting their Christmas season in October this year. When I started getting this list together I thought I had made a mistake because the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel’s Christmas movies will be airing on Thursday and Friday nights, rather than the previous years when they aired on Saturday and Sunday nights. I am guessing that they have decided to alternate the nights (keeping the Hallmark Channel’s Christmas movies on Saturday and Sunday nights) so that those of us who enjoy watching the movies “live” can do so. I prefer watching them once I’ve DVR-ed them, so I can skip through the ads… (Also, I know these movies aren’t mystery movies, but I have many people who request that I post these yearly Christmas movies lists.)

Danna, I think I need to find a kid to help me out. I can’t figure out how to FF thru the commercials on my DVR. That is part of the reason I don’t watch much TV.
I do think I must be getting old since I don’t recognize hardly any of the Christmas movies in the listings.

Susy, I’m not surprised that you don’t recognize a lot of the movies – I think they’re mostly Hallmark originals, so many of them are new for this year.
As for the problems with your DVR, I’m afraid I can’t help you! My husband has to teach me how to use each new gadget we end up with.

Susy, I have Direct TV with DVR. I’ve also checked my DVD controller and my TV controller, so I think most controllers are the same. Look for a double arrow pointing to the right on Ur controller – that should be the FF. When U want to stop the FF, press the play button and the DVR should return to normal speed . Hope this helps .
