Thank you, Kelly! I had Devil’s Food Cake Murder on my March 2011 New Mystery Book Releases page. I ALWAYS appreciate people’s help on these lists… Actually, I appreciate help on anything that can make the Cozy Mystery site better.
Thanks, again!

As a fairly newbie writer…let me just say at this point in my life I cannot imagine writing 18…or 27 books in a series!
Whew!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Let alone 33!

I have just come across your delicious website.
I can’t wait to get some of the new books.
I am a quilter, so those especially interest me
as well as cooking. Actually, I love all books,
so this has gone right to the top of my favorites
list!
Thanks for such a wonderful site!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Welcome to the site, Mary!
I enjoy theme Cozy Mystery series, also. As a cross stitcher, I am particularly drawn to the Needlecraft Mystery Series by Monica Ferris.
Kay says
Whatever happened to anthologies like Malice Domestic and Sisters in Crime? I haven’t seen updates in years. Do you have a site for Mystery Anthologies by themselves?
Thanks for this site. I’ve found some great lead characters in their fifties and sixties and beyond. Love reading about my generation!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Kay, you’re right!
The last Malice Domestic anthology I can find is the 2001 Nevada Barr anthology: Malice Domestic 10.
The last Sisters in Crime anthology I can find is the 1992 Sisters in Crime 5 which Marilyn Wallace edited.
I wonder why they stopped doing these…
Toni L. P. Kelner and Charlaine Harris have put out several paranormal anthologies which feature authors who aren’t necessarily associated with the paranormal subgenre…

I have just found your site and am absolutely thrilled to find your wonderful lists, especially those of the culinary cozies.
It may not be appropriate to ask for help here, but I just have to try! I’m desperately seeking the name of what I believe would be classified as a cozy, but I don’t know the name or the author. I found a couple of recipes I copied from the book, and all the information I know for certain comes from these two xeroxed pages: the protagonist is named Jane and the two recipes (tea scones and Madeleine’s truffles) were supposedly Jane’s mother’s. As I recall, Jane was not engaged in any sort of culinary related profession before finding these recipes. Jane went to visit a relative (I think) at a time of marital strife and found or was given her mother’s “recipe book.” Has anyone ever heard of this book? I’m guessing this book is one of a series, and I’d look to get reacquainted with this unknown author.
My deepest apologies if this is an inappropriate post. I’m just tired of asking everyone I know if they’ve ever heard of such a book.
Michelle says
Patricia,
I found what you are looking for. The series is called “Tales from Grace Chapel Inn”. The recipes you have came from the book, Recipes & Wooden Spoons by Judy Baer. There have been 47 books in this series. Here is a link to the list on this site.

Dear Danna,
Recently I came upon an author that I believe you and your readers will love:
The author is Cassandra Chan. She has a series, 4 so far, that features Scotland Yard Detective Sargent Jack Gibbons and his best friend, a young man of leisure–fantastically well off–who makes a point of tagging along on Jack’s more interesting cases.
Should fit under British and Rich Sleuths???
Some time agao you asked readers for suggestions of an author that they would like to see another in the series–my suggestion is that I would love to see another Mrs Pollifax book by Dorothy Gilman.
I do enjoy your site.
Many thanks. Maria
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Thanks you for telling us about Cassandra Chan, Maria.
AND
Wouldn’t another Mrs. Pollifax be a treat?!?
Shirley says
I have a female author…..I got from a used bookstore;
her name is Carola Dunn….I don’t know if these are reissues or she just has her murder mysteries in the 1920s, BUT they are truly interesting. I want to find out along with Daisy Dalrymple, who did it….smile!
I went to the library and found out they had all her mysteries………..She helps the police find answers, although he knows the answers too.
I’m working on the second one……I like it. grin
Anyone else out there who would like to read a good English mystery? You will like this, I bet. hugs
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Shirley, I follow Daisy Dalrymple’s exploits, also.
Sophie says
Hi Danna,
I’m brand new to your site and I must say that it’s wonderful!
I’ve been a mystery lover for most of my life (thank my Mother for always having Murder She Wrote on the TV. And yes, I do love the books too!). Above all the cozies out there, I’m most partial to the ones set in the Victorian or Edwardian eras. And if they also happen to take place anywhere in Great Britain, then it’s pretty much an all out win for me lol.
I’d just like to make a suggestion for a book that I didn’t see on this list. Ghost Ship by P.J. Alderman
It’s only the second in a relatively new series, but having just finished and very much enjoyed the first book (Haunting Jordan) I wanted to share the love 🙂
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Thanks, Sophie, for telling us about P. J. Alderman’s mystery books.
Donna says
Mysteries have been my reading choice since I started reading them when I was really young and expanding to the 9-12 age books and then all through my adult years. I love this site. One my favorite authors is Dorothy Gilman both Mrs. Pollifax and her other novels. I listen to conversations of people talking about mystery series and ask them about the author. That is how I have come across so many mysteries, like Gilman. Reading so many different mystery books, I have found myself leaning more toward cozy. This site with a little summary of the book has been very helpful to get to know different authors. Thanks for such a wonderful website.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Welcome to the site, Donna. What a novel idea… listening to people as they discuss mysteries. Although she is in no way Cozy, I discovered Elizabeth George by simply asking a woman who was looking through all of George’s books at the library. I was glad I did!
Karen says
Wow! I LOVE cozy mysteries! I just found this and am excited to go book hunting tomorrow!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Welcome to the site, Karen. I hope you are able to find some Cozy Mystery authors to follow. I started the site as a much smaller version of what it has become… I have found several new authors who “fit me” perfectly (from Cozy Mystery site readers’ recommendation.)
Rebecca says
Danna, I never thought I would be telling you about new Author, but today on e-bay I found a new book that I believe just be on your list. the author is Sofie Kelly, and the book is Curiosity Thrilled the Cat. It is suppose to be the first in a series called Magical cats, the lead is a librarian by the name of Kathleen Paulson. I think it was just published this year.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Thanks, Rebecca. I have her on my list of authors to get posted on the site. And, Sofie Kelly has a second book in the series coming out in April.
Barbie says
I’m reading the Sofie Kelly book right now and really enjoy it. I’m glad to hear that a new one is coming out in April. I love your site. Thank you for introducing me to cozies!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Hi Barbie,
I love getting glowing endorsements of authors’ works! It sounds like Sofie Kelly has quite a few fans…
Jane says
I just finishing reading a series of books by Emily Toll. They are about a woman named Lynne Montgomery who owns a travel agency. I have found 4 books in the series, the last one copyrighted 2005. They all grouped together in ” A Booked for Travel Mystery”. Does anyone know why this series was discontinued? I found them very enjoyable reading material. If anyone knows the answer I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Thanks P.S. I love this site!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
I’m glad you enjoy the site, Jane. I just looked at my Emily Toll / Taffy Cannon page to see if I had any more books listed, and see that I don’t.
Good question!
