I’ve got a fair amount of good news for Cozy Mystery news this month!
First, Donna Andrews has had six more books approved for the Meg Langslow Mystery Series! That will bring the series to a total of at least 32! (I say at least because I think she’s also already got a few more coming out that haven’t been given names yet, but weren’t part of this batch.) That’s quite an extension, but considering how long the series has been around and how popular it is, it’s hardly a surprise!
Next up, Rhys Bowen will be putting out two stand alone historical novels. Rhys Bowen has put out a few stand alone novels lately, but most site readers will probably know her more for the Molly Murphy Mystery Series, starring an Irish immigrand in the early 1900’s, and the Royal Spyness Mystery Series, starring the daughter of a duke in 1930’s London.
Finally, Gigi Pandian will be continuing the Jaya Jones Treasure Hunt Mystery Series with four more entries, bringing the series to a total of 10 entries. Gigi Pandian is also the author of the Accidental Alchemist Mystery Series, starring an alchemist in Portland, Oregon.

Cecile Fleetwood says
Rhys Bowen is on the top of my favorite author list! I just finished reading “Bless the Bride” & “The Edge of Dreams” I was/am hunting for the ones in between but when I found them at my library, I couldn’t hold back! I love the “Her Royal Spyness” series too. I have several of the “Constable Evans” books but not the first few, so I keep searching! I love her stand alones too. She has such a wonderful ability to pull the reader in and make the history real.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Cecile, it sounds like good news for you this month then! Well, it isn’t a continuation of either of her series, but at least stand alones don’t need to be read in order.
Deb B says
I love Gigi Pandian’s books – both series. I’m so very happy that she gets to/will continue them.

OH COME ON! Here I was, thinking, “OH GOOD, no new books THIS time,” and then…there it was. “Gigi Pandian is also the author of The Accidental Alchemist Mystery Series, starring an Alchemist in Portland, Oregon, and THEN I checked the first book at Amazon, and THERE ARE RECIPES!
I give up. I’m getting the series.

Marian says
Hello Everybody,
I am new here and I just cant get over all the goodies I am seeing. Anyway,I am fairly new to cozy mysteries. At the moment I’m reading a Laura Childs cozy and its the first in her tea series, Death by Darjeeling and I’m enjoying it. I am so overwhelmed by all the topics that you can read here. I am one of those who don’t like graphic language or “adult themed” topics. Hopefully somebody here can educate me in those books to be ignored.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Marian, welcome to the site! I sure hope that it helps you find lots of new books that suit your tastes. I’d say that most of the books on the site are pretty suitable for what you’re looking for – Cozies in general are low on graphic language and “adult” topics.
