Well, this is a good month for Cozy Mystery News – I’ve got four pieces of good news for announcements by established site authors!
First up, Kate Carlisle has announced the names of a few of her upcoming mysteries – Little Black Book, which will be an entry in the Bibliophile Mystery Series and focused on a copy of Daphne du Maurier’s Rebecca, and Dressed to Drill, which will be an entry in the Fixer-Upper Mystery Series.
Sofie Kelly (aka Sofie Ryan & Darlene Ryan for Young Adult) will be releasing at least two more entries in the Magical Cats Cozy Mystery Series, which will bring the series to a total of at least thirteen entries. Kelly is also the author of the Second Chance Cat Mystery Series.
Leslie Meier has announced the name of one of her upcoming mysteries, Easter Bonnet Murder, which will be at least the 27th in the Lucy Stone Mystery Series, and presumably an Easter mystery. This will be the second Easter mystery in this series – not a surprise as many of this particular series have been holiday entries over the years.
Finally, Valerie Wilson Wesley will be starting a new series after more than a decade away from mysteries, which will star a widowed realtor named Dessa Jones, who possesses a bit of an unreliable sixth sense. The first entry in this particular series will be titled A Glimmer of Death.
Kristie Wilson says
Glad to see some new entries into series I love!

Kristie, I’m glad to be able to give some good news!
Christine says
Thank you to Kate Carlisle! One of my favorite mystery series and now it will include a “Rebecca” focus. Can hardly wait!!!

Christine, it’s certainly an interesting premise to center a series like this around individual books. It seems to give a lot of really interesting hooks for mysteries, especially for book lovers!
Terri Stuhltrager says
Looking good for March releases.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Terri, well, these won’t be coming out this month, but it’s still a good month for news at least!
Austin Edwards says
Looking forward to new mysteries to read! I was trying to read holiday mysteries by month but found it a bit much. (There’s only so many Christmas-themed mysteries I can take in December!) I’ve started with reading mysteries by authors if my library has enough. I’m almost through with Ellery Adams.

Austin, there’s a definite risk of “holiday overload” if you stick with reading holiday Cozies around the appropriate time.
Bek says
OH MY! EVERYTHING but the Wesley! I hit the jackpot this time!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Bek, it’s definitely a good crop of news!
Susy S says
Same here, except I am so far behind on the Meier books that I can probably wait a year or two to by this one.
Candy Hall says
I’m excited to finally see something new from Valerie Wilson Wesley!! You have been missed!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Candy, it’s always great to see a writer return to mysteries after a long absence!
Glen says
Oh goody. Another Kelly book….or two. Love these books! And the Wilson books sound good, too. As soon as I finish rereading the meg Langslow books….
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Glen, sounds like a good plane! Better get reading to make sure you’re ready by then.
Connie Kittle says
I so enjoy cozy mysteries and try to stay on top of new ones coming out. Love being informed.

Connie, I’m glad that the site can help you look forward to more great looking Cozies!
