It’s a pretty good month for Cozy Mystery News – I have four pieces of news to share with you all about established site authors!
Victoria Gilbert will be putting out two more books in her Blue Ridge Library Mystery Series, which will take the series to a total of nine entries (there are two more that have been announced that I don’t have enough information on to put on her page yet). The names of these two new entries will be The Murder Index and A Catalog of Death. Gilbert is also the author of the Book Lover’s B&B Mystery Series.
Linda O. Johnston will be starting a new mystery series, the Wild Alaska Mystery Series, which will star a naturalist and tour boat guide investigating murder in the Klondike. The first entry in the series will be titled Bear Witness, and presumably have something to do with bears. Johnston is the author of multiple other series, including the Pet Rescue Mystery Series, the Superstition Mystery Series, and the Barkery & Biscuits Mystery Series.
G. M. Malliet will be writing a book either titled or about Augusta Hawke, a mystery writer who teams up with a private investigator who wants to collaborate on a book about an investigation. Malliet is also the author of the Max Tudor Mystery Series and the St. Just Mystery Series.
Olivia Matthews will be starting a new mystery series, the Spice Isle Bakery Mystery Series, with first entry Island in the Sun. This series will be set in Brooklyn, and star a baker who investigates the death of a rival baker after a series of threats between the deceased and the sleuth’s own family-owned West Indian bakery. This will be at least a three book series. Matthews also writes the Sister Lou Mystery Series.
Finally, Deanna Raybourn will be releasing at least two more books in the Veronica Speedwell Mystery Series, though the two upcoming books are as-yet-unnamed. This will bring the series to a total of at least 9 entries (again, I don’t have information on the 7th yet, but hopefully that will be coming soon-ish). Raybourn is also the author of the Lady Julia Grey Mystery Series.

Just noticed that I had missed one of the books in the Blue Ridge Library series (I wondered how I had missed Sunny becoming Mayor). Now it is on order.
I just discovered this author this year and thought I had purchased all her books. I really enjoy both series, though I like the library series better than the B & B series.

Susy, it sounds like this might be worth bumping up through the To Be Read pile when it arrives!

Sadly, VM Burns wrote in her last newsletter that she ended her Dog Club Mysteries at the 5th one. I love Lilly Echosby and her dogs, and her friends so much that I am greatly saddened by her decision. Just thought I would pass this along so other fans of the series would know.

Julie, I’m sorry to hear that – it’s always a shame when a good series ends relatively early.
