Upcoming Television Mystery Movies for October 2020

September 19, 2020

As it is almost October 2020, I thought I would post the Turner Classic Movies channel’s October mystery movies today. I don’t know if other people have been so struck by this, but it seems to me that TCM is moving toward presenting more “current” movies these days. (when I say “current” I mean movies from the 1960s and 1970s.) I’ve been a fan of the channel for many years, and I don’t remember a time when the Golden Era of Hollywood was not the main focus of the channel’s movies. Hmmm… Have any of you noticed this, too? And if so, what do you think about it?

On another note, since it’s October, Turner Classic Movies is going to be showing a lot of “Halloweeny” type movies. So, if you love the old Bela Lugosi, Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney Jr., Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Vincent Price (etc.) movies, then you’re in for a treat this month! (I’m not going to list them, but be sure to be on the lookout for them – if you enjoy them. I watch the same “Halloweeny” type movies year after year… I never get tired of them!) Also, while I’m not talking about movies that happen to be mysteries – for those of you who enjoy the old Dr. Kildare movies, Turner Classic Movies will be airing five of them on Wednesday the 21st of October.

Upcoming Television Mystery Movies for September 2020

August 22, 2020

It’s September already, and what better way for us who love mystery movies, to start the month than with a whole bunch of Alfred Hitchcock mystery movies on the first! I can’t wait to (re)watch them!

On Thursday, the third, the Turner Classic Movies channel will be airing some movies that showcase medical personnel, which I’m guessing is a tribute to all the wonderful professionals who are helping those in great need today.

Tuesday (September 15) and Thursday (September 17) are terrific days for those of us who enjoy watching the Turner Classic Movies channel’s mystery movies. Be sure to check them out, there might be a few you haven’t seen yet.

Upcoming Television Mystery Movies for August 2020

July 22, 2020

I have to say, for anyone who considers Barbara Stanwyck one the best actresses of all time, August is starting out with a big bang! Saturday, August 1, 2020 is an all-day celebration of Barbara Stanwyck movies >>> and I’m all in! I’ve seen most of them several times, but I enjoy them each and every time I watch them. (As if that isn’t enough, Sunday, August 23 will feature movies with Bette Davis in them!)

Unfortunately, August also brings us a month on the Turner Classic Movies channel that we won’t be seeing Eddie Muller or his film noir movies on Noir Alley. I real drag for many of us.
