Marion Chesney (aka M.C. Beaton): The Edwardian Murder Mystery Series is set in England during the early 1900s. M. C. Beaton is the author of the highly popular Hamish Macbeth Mystery Series and the Agatha Raisin Mystery Series.

P. F. Chisholm: The Sir Robert Carey Mystery Series takes place during the reign of Elizabeth I (late 1500s) and revolves around Sir Robert, a deputy warden.

Jill Churchill: Her Grace and Favor Mystery Series takes place after the 1929 stock market crash in New York and involves a brother/sister sleuthing duo.

Alys Clare: The Hawkenlye Mystery Series features the pairing of a head nun of an abbey with a French knight who has transplanted himself to England so that he can take up the cause of Richard the Lionheart. Clare’s Aelf Fen Mystery Series is set in 11th Century England.

Barbara Cleverly: Both her (Scotland Yard detective) Joe Sandilands Mystery Series (India) and her (archaeologist) Laetitia Talbot Mystery Series (France) take place after WWI.

Barbara Cleverly writes the Inspector Redfyre Mystery Series which features Detective Inspector John Redfyre – a Cambridge Criminal Investigation Department detective during the 1920s.

Vivian Conroy: Merula and Raven Mystery Series – Merula is a zoologist in Victorian London.

Vivian Conroy: Lady Alkmene Callender Mystery Series – She’s a British aristocrat in London during the 1920s.

Gary Corby writes an Ancient Greece Mystery which takes during the fifth century B. C.

Carola Dunn: The Daisy Dalrymple Mystery Series is set in 1920s England. Daisy is a journalist who does more than report the stories… she solves them!

Simon Beaufort: This is the husband and wife writing duo comprised of Beau Riffengburgh and Susanna Gregory. They write the Geoffrey Mappestone Mystery Series which is set during the 1100s in Great Britain.

Carrie Bebris: The Mr. & Mrs. Darcy Mystery Series, which features Elizabeth Bennet and her husband Mr. Darcy, is set in England during the early 1800s. The series starts right where Pride and Prejudice finishes… as Elizabeth marries the dashing Mr. Darcy.

K. K. Beck: The Iris Cooper & Jack Clancy Mystery Series is set during the late 1920s, so of course, it features a flapper.

Rhys Bowen: The Molly Murphy Mystery Series features an Irish immigrant in America during the very early 1900s. Bowen just began the Lady Georgiana Mystery Series which is set during the early 1930s in England, and features Lady Georgiana, the 34th in line for the throne.

Emily Brightwell: The Mrs. Jeffries Mystery Series is set in London during the mid to late 1800s and features a housekeeper (Mrs. Jeffries) who helps Inspector Witherspoon solve mysteries.

Frances Brody: Kate Shackleton Mystery Series – Kate is a WWI widow in a British small milling village in the 1920s.

Kate Bryan: The Maggie Maguire Mystery Series takes place during the 1870s and features both Maggie and her pick-pocket cousin Grady as the sleuths.

Fiona Buckley: The Ursula Blanchard Mystery Series features a Lady-in-Waiting in Queen Elizabeth I’s court.

I personally don’t follow NASCAR, but one of my very best cozy-mystery friends does. So, I know that we are in the middle of the NASCAR season… Unfortunately, this will be a very short mystery-theme blog, since I only have one series to include in the NASCAR theme:

Janet Evanovich  also has the NASCAR theme, as Alicia reminded me. Barney Barnaby Mystery Series features Alexandra (Barney) Barnaby, a NASCAR mechanic.

Joyce & Jim Lavene write the Stock Car Racing Mystery Series which features Glad and Ruby Wycznewski, a couple who follow the NASCAR racing circuit in their RV… finding more than just car racing!

Sharyn McCrumb‘s St. Dale is a novel in which NASCAR plays a central role. Also, McCrumb’s new novel Once Around the Track will be set in the world of NASCAR.

Amy Myers writes the Jack Colby, Car Detective Mystery Series. Jack is the owner of a car restoration shop in England.
