Gen asked:
I’d like to be able to access some modern writers who fit this genre. I quite like Beaton’s Agatha Raisin and Simon Brett’s Fethering series. As a previous poster asked, do you have a list of writers who have published in the last 20 years?
My Answer:
No, Gen, I don’t. That certainly would make a great theme on the Cozy Mystery site…
Thanks>>> I’ll soon write an entry…

Yikes! It looks like you are in luck, Gen! There are A LOT of authors with British mystery series who have been published during the last twenty years. (I should have just made a list of British mystery series that haven’t been published in the past twenty years!)
Also, I just want to point out that to find the chronological list of these authors’ books, all you need to do is put the name in the “Site Search” box near the top left of each page on the blog, and the first result seems to be pretty invariably the page on the site that lists the books.
If, however, you want a list of all of the British mystery series on the Cozy Mystery site, then click on this link to take you to the Theme page.

Thanks, Danna! I’ve read several of the authors in your list (and loved them–Bruce Alexander being a standout IMO). Now I have lots more authors to try.

Have you read Emma Jameson? Three books so far: Ice Blue, Blue Murder and Something Blue. One in the works called Black and Blue. I really liked them.
Jackie says
What a wonderful list, most of them familiar and ones I’ve read and enjoyed. I’ve just got Mortimer’s Omnibus I and will get the other two when I finish.
Interesting site 🙂
Bill says
Thanks for the list.

You’re all quite welcome!
Debra says
Thank you for compiling this. Now I can add some new authors to my “to read” list for the long, dark winter ahead!
Great site!

You’re quite welcome, Debra. I know what you mean about “new” authors… Even though the authors have been publishing for lots of years, it’s always nice when you discover one or two who you didn’t know about.

Where is Anthony Horowitz in your list above?
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Jim, whenever I make up the lists (with the help of Cozy Mystery site readers!) I only include authors who I have listed on the Cozy Mystery site.
