Already received and read ‘A Scone of Contention’. It was really good and I read it in a few short hours yesterday.
Nothing else for me this week, but the 24th and 31st are heavyhitters for me.

Susy, thanks for the recommendation – I’m glad to hear that Scone of Contention is worth picking up!

Ellen, It was great, though I am sorry to see the series end. Do you have another Ellen Byron series in the works?
I am enjoying the Maria DiRico series, but really liked the Crozat clan.

I bought “A Scone of Contention”, and wanted to start reading the series yesterday, but I cannot find the first book…I have the whole series on my TBR pile, but I’ll have to search for the first one. I started a different series instead, while I continue to look in my book bins.

Melanie, that’s always a big inconvenience! I don’t always necessarily read series in strict order, but the first book in a series is usually an exception – it sets so much of the series tone and characters that skipping it can be a real mistake sometimes!
