Teresa Trent

Teresa (like me) was the daughter in a military family, which means she moved many times. She writes the Pecan Bayou Mystery Series, which features Betsy Livingston, the “Helpful Hinter”. Betsy lives in a cozy, little town named Pecan Bayou, in Texas. Betsy has managed to turn her hobby into a business, in order to support her son and herself.  Also, Betsy has a cousin (Danny) – who has Down Syndrome. Teresa’s son has Down Syndrome, which is why she decided to feature Danny in her Cozies. I love that Danny has a substantial part in this series, rather than a teeny-tiny role. This series also provides helpful hints and recipes for us!
