We’re definitely welcoming winter … even if it is in the 70’s here in Houston but supposed to cool off Friday & the week-end! I’m on vacation from work after today until Monday so I’m ‘nesting’ on the sofa with my hot cocoa & mysteries that Santa will be bringing me … oh yes, the boys (hubby & son) know exactly which books I’m wishing for!! ha!
Merriest of Christmases to all!
Can you fellow Texan Cozy Mystery readers believe this heat wave?!? However, it does look like we might be in for some truly winter (for us!) weather soon…
I’m visiting family in Phoenix and although it is not the 70s and sunny that I was expecting, it is still better than the highs at or barely above freezing that I had last week at home.
I live on the east coast in Beaufort , SC and the weather has been fairly cool this last week or so. Yesterday we had snow flurries! Nothing stuck thank goodness because no one around here really knows how to drive in the stuff. All that snow falling up north does look pretty but I am glad I don’t have to deal with the aftermath.Of course a snow day or a rain day for that matter is always a good excuse to curl up with a good book. Who am I kidding any day is a good day to curl up with a good book.
Denise, it sounds like snow affects Beaufort the way rain affects San Antonio. I am always amazed at how many tail-gaters there are who cause accidents during a little rain. My husband and I both have come to look at a rainy day the way we used to look at icy roads!
You’re right about any day being good to curl up with a book…

I’m making the most of Christmas reviews and collecting books with a Christmas theme to read through the holidays next year.

I have to admit, Judith, that we have been having lovely weather >>> which brings out my “need” for seasonal (cold-weathered) Cozies!
Enjoy your family AND Phoenix!
