It looks like October will be another good month for new Cozy Mystery series, with three more series by site authors starting.
First will be Ellery Adams‘s new series, The Secret, Book & Scone Society Mystery Series, which will be starting with The Secret, Book & Scone Society. When bookshop owner Nora Pennington meets a businessman visiting Miracle Springs, North Carolina in hopes that the town’s hot springs and health spas will improve his future, she knows just what books to suggest to him. But before she can offer her reading advice, he’s found dead, and Nora decides to create a society to help discover the truth and help heal other travelers ills, the Secret Book & Scone Society. Adams also writes the Books by the Bay Mystery Series, the Book Retreat Mystery Series, the Charmed Pie Shoppe Mystery Series, the Antiques and Collectibles Mystery Series, and the Hope Street Church Mystery Series. Some of these were initially released under the names J.B. Stanley and Jennifer Stanley, though they have since been re-released as Ellery Adams. She also co-wrote the first three Novel Idea Mystery Series under the name Lucy Arlington with Sylvia May, until the series was later taken over by Susan Furlong.
Next up, Ellie Alexander will be releasing Death on Tap, the first in her Sloan Krause Mystery Series. At loose ends after finding her husband cheating on her, Sloan Krause goes to work at the Nitro Brewery in Leavenworth, Washington, a small Bavarian themed town. When a competitor turns up dead in the fermenting tubs, her ex husband turns out to be the primary suspect – to mixed feelings for Sloan, who knows he’s a cheater, but seriously doubts he is a murderer. Alexander is the author of the Bakeshop Mystery Series, and also writes the Pacific Northwest Mystery Series under the name Kate Dyer-Seeley.
Finally, Jessica Ellicott will be starting the Beryl and Edwina Mystery Series with the book Murder in an English Village. Set in the 1920s, American adventuress Beryl Helliwell has decided she needs a bit of peace and quiet for a change, and has decided that the small English hamlet of Walmsley Parva is the perfect place for her to recharge. She ends up lodging with Edwina Davenport, an old school friend hard up for money and eager to take in a lodger – even one a bit more “boisterous” than she might have chosen. Still, it doesn’t take long for old habits to return, and Beryl quickly finds herself wrapped up in another adventure – this one a race to find a murderer before they can strike. This might be the first series under the name Jessica Ellicott, but you might recognize her work under the names Jessie Crockett (the Sugar Grove Mystery Series) and Jessica Estevao (the Change of Fortune Mystery Series).

Here we go, AGAIN! This time, the new Ellery Adams series. There don’t seem to be cats or ghosts, but it is set in North Carolina, so I’ll have to give it a try.
SIGH…I suppose I could get rid of the daybed, buy a twin bed, put it in the middle of the office/library/guest room and squeeze in another 4 bookcases…

Bek, yes, I know how you’re feeling – though without the furniture issues since I usually buy Kindles these days! (Not so much for the furniture reduction aspect, but so I can adjust font sizes…)

LOL, the sad thing is, I have Kindle. And Nook. AND Kobo. But for books I really love, I just want to be able to hug them, and feel the weight and heft in my hands, and doze off with them open on my chest.
But the e-readers are wonderful for exploring a new series or author!

Bek, I saw some interesting beds that were also bookcases on Pinterest….
Since I don’t find many guests to be as interesting as books, a guest room is no longer a priority for me, though there are a couple of family members I do like.
My books long ago out grew any library and most rooms have at least one book case, most several more.
I am also looking forward to the new Ellery Adams series.

I am definitely going to read all the three mysteries. First one is about a bookshop owner and bookshop mysteries are close to my heart. I love books. ?Though this will be my first book of this author, I will take a chance. Ellie Alexander writes good cozies. I follow her bakeshop mysteries series, so I know I have to read this new one. And the 3rd one is set in English village. I like reading about all thing British. So three new cozies in this October >.> …Plus other cozies and books I must read… *looks at the list* I better start saving money. ?
Thank you Danna. You’re awesome! ?
