Last month I told you about the new Cozy Mystery series that will be starting this month (Two New Cozy Mysteries Starting in April 2015) and now I’m going to tell you about three new Cozy series that will be heading our way in May. All three of these new Cozy Mystery series come to us from established authors on this site.
First up is Amanda Flower, who will be releasing her fifth series this May… the Living History Museum Mystery Series, starting with it’s first book, The Final Reveille. This series will star Kelsey Cambridge, the director of Barton Farm, a living history museum in Ohio. When the relative of one of her museum’s benefactors turns up dead after threatening to have the museum’s funding cut, Kelsey quickly becomes one of the leading suspects, forcing her to solve the murder herself! As already mentioned, Amanda Flower is the author of multiple popular series, including the Appleseed Creek Mystery Series starring a computer specialist in Ohio’s Amish country, the India Hayes Mystery Series starring an Ohio librarian, and (as Isabella Alan) the Amish Quilt Shop Mystery Series… also set in Ohio.
Next is Linda O. Johnston‘s book Bite the Biscuit, the first book in her new Barkery & Biscuits Mystery Series. This series will star canine treat store owner and ex-veterinarian technician, Carrie Kennersly. Carrie’s only just opened up her Barkery, and it’s already making waves, particularly with the owner of another pet supply store nearby… who turns up dead! Unfortunately, Carrie might be suspected, so she’ll need to solve the crime to protect her good name… and her freedom! Linda O. Johnston also writes several other popular series, including the Pet Rescue Mystery Series, starring the operator of a California-based pet rescue shelter, and the Kendra Ballantyne Pet-Sitter Mystery Series, starring an attorney/pet-sitter and her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Lexie.
Finally, Tracy Kiely will be putting out the first book in her second series, the Nic & Nigel Mystery Series. The first entry, Murder with a Twist, will introduce us to Nic and Nigel Martini, as they search for the missing husband of a friend… a task made both easier and more complicated by Nic’s history as a former detective. Tracy Kiely also writes the Elizabeth Parker Mystery Series, starring a far more amateur sleuth.

Just pre-ordered THE FINAL REVEILLE, and I am looking forward to reading it. Hopefully a new series to add to my collection.

Margaret M, I wish publishers would see that an established author can release a new Cozy Mystery series using their own name. I guess they think that the way they do it works better, since this way, both Amanda Flower and Isabella Alan have fans who are excited about their new series…

I am excited for the release of Linda O. Johnston‘s book “Bite the Biscuit”, the first book in her new Barkery & Biscuits Mystery Series. I am finding that I have a soft spot for the cozies with dogs and cats…maybe because we’ve rescued five puppies and two kitties. : )

Janice M, it’s great you’ve rescued so many puppies and kittens! (I think that a sleuth having pets makes the sleuth more human…)
Janice M says
I think that you’re right, Danna!
That must be why I love those cozies with pets so much!
: )

Denise A, if you go down to the comments under the February Recommendations post, Stash Empress explained why she thought this was a good Cozy Mystery.
