Three of the authors who are currently posted on the Cozy Mystery site are going to be releasing new mystery series during June 2014. I have the pictures of their new series’ 1st mysteries on the New Cozy Mystery Book Series page, but thought I would “introduce” the series to you in a little more detail.
Amanda Cooper (aka Victoria Hamilton) will be releasing her very first Teapot Collector Mystery Series book: Tempest in a Teapot. The Teapot Collector series will feature a sleuth named Sophie Taylor. Sophie has just left Manhattan – where she used to own a restaurant, and has returned to her hometown in New York. She is currently working in her family’s “Auntie Rose’s Victorian Teahouse”. Gracious Grove is the name of her quaint, little hometown in the northern Finger Lakes region of New York.
Diane Kelly is releasing the 1st in her new Megan Luz Mystery Series called Paw Enforcement. This mystery series is going to give us two main sleuths: a policewoman named Megan Luz, and her partner, Brigit. Oh, and I should mention that Brigit is her K-9 police officer partner. The series takes place in Texas (Fort Worth). Megan has just committed a not-so-well-received act, and as her “sentence” she is given her new four-legged partner.
Nancy J. Parra (aka Nancy Coco) will be releasing Engaged In Murder, the 1st in the new Perfect Proposals Mystery Series. Pepper Pomeroy has just switched her job from being an event planner to taking on the job as a marriage proposal planner. As a proposal planner, Pepper will be having to arrange even the smallest of details for prospective engaged couples. She will have her hands full with arranging those pesky, little details, as well as sleuthing in her spare time!

All 3 books look interesting. Can’t wait for 6/3!

Sheila, it seemed like several years ago a lot of the publishing companies were terminating a lot of the Cozy Mystery series. I am so happy to see that trend is over, and more and more Cozy Mystery authors, after proving themselves, are now being given more opportunities to write more Cozy Mysteries.
Cindy says
These books look like the type of cozies I read. I look forward to reading them.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Cindy, I think they look like good mystery series, too.
Charlene says
I’d like to see someone come up with a series of Major League Baseball Mysteries. Each one could take place in a different stadium: Globe Life Park (Ballpark in Arlington), Fenway, Wrigley, Safeco, etc.
Any writers out there know their baseball teams?
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Charlene, now that would be an original Cozy Mystery theme!
Kimmie says
Hi Charlene,
I came across a series you might like. It’s called the Mickey Rawlings Mystery Series by Troy Roos. It’s probably not exactly the “coziness” you are wanting, but seems to be something that might be a fill in until the right cozy series comes along.
Happy Reading,
Kimmie
Jackie J. Griffey says
Danna: I had an audio come out April 25 (VARMINT, 2nd of my Insurance series) and another (ACTUAL CORPSE VALUE) is now ‘in production’ – may I announce here when that one comes out? I wasn’t sure is why I’m asking. I always get some ‘free’ books but it is sort of complicated how to get them so I usually give them to libraries. I have a special place in my heart for libraries anyway 😎 BTW the Insurance series is: 1. Once Burned 2. Varmint 3. Actual Corpse Value and my Work in Progress is All That Glitters which will be fourth in the series (about J coverage). Thanks and good luck and good reading to all of us – guess I should say ‘good listening too now? LOL. That reminds me, Amazon.com has samples of my audios to listen to. Just click on Books under Depts. then type in Jackie Griffey and it will pull them all up for you to choose from.

Thanks, Jackie. I have all your series listed on your Jackie Griffey page.
Connie says
I was searching your site for Marjorie Eccles and couldn’t find a list of her books. Many of her books are available on Amazon. Is there a reason her books are not listed?
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Connie, no, there isn’t a reason her books aren’t listed. I try to get authors put up on the site when people recommend them. I’ll go take a look at her mysteries. Thanks for telling us about her.
Connie says
Thank you. I think she is a worthy addition.
Edie Dykeman says
Sounds like three interesting topics. I like when a new series comes out, especially if the topic is unique. The Major League Baseball series that was suggested above sounds like it would be fun.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Edie, I guess I’d finally learn about the Major League Baseball series!
Sheila says
I agree with Charlene, Danna and Edie. A cozy mystery series centering around the MLB ball parks is a great idea.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Actually, Sheila, I don’t know much about the Major League Baseball parks. My husband stopped watching baseball when they went on strike during the 1994/1995 playing season. He just never got into it again, so it’s never on TV in our house. But if it took the Cozy Mystery route, I’m sure I’d be willing to take a swing at it.
