I just got a letter this week from Mysterious Press telling me Stuart Palmer’s books are now available in Kindle format, so I thought I would pass this information along to all of you. Stuart Palmer (1905 – 1968) is one of the authors on my “Favorite Authors” list, and I thought I was going to have to give up reading him >>> since I now find myself only reading books on my Kindle. In other words, I’m glad his books are finally available in e-book format. (I know, I know, before I got my Kindle I talked about how I would never leave my “real books” behind. Who’d ‘a thought it?!?)

How neat! I love the Hildegarde Wither’s stories and the movies. Thanks, Danna, for passing along this information. Yeah!

Patti S, I now have hope that they might convert Heron Carvic’s Miss Seeton mysteries to e-book format. (The font on those books is particularly tiny >>> anyway to me it is!)

Thanks, Danna! I’ve been looking for a new “old” author to read and this sounds like my cup o’ tea. 🙂 Mysterious Press books are always wonderful and since you highly recommend this writer as well, it’s got to be good!

Donna, as I just wrote in my comment to Patti S, the conversion of Stuart Palmer’s mystery books to e-format has given me hope that a company will convert other authors who I enjoy reading. Cyril Hare is yet another author I’d love to see converted to e-book format.

I’ve just begun reading one of the kindle books you listed here and it is wonderful! Palmer is not quite as puzzling as Christie (then again, who is?) but his stories are delightfully funny and filled with all the classic mystery elements most cozy fans enjoy. Thank you for putting this list together, I will be downloading more very soon!

Donna, I’m glad you are enjoying Stuart Palmer. I get a kick out of Hildegarde Withers.

Danna-My husband brought home Murder at Rosamund’s Gate tonight for me to read. He is the Assistant Director and head of Tech. Services at our library. It is so nice to be married to a Librarian!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Patti S, you’re in for a really good read! (A husband with added benefits!)

Thanks, Danna! Can’t wait to check it out. I love my Kindle. Because of the arthritis in my hands I find it much easier to hold and manipulate than a physical book, although I do still read them, too.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Susan, I hadn’t thought about the benefits Kindle has for people with arthritic hands.

I recently discovered that Mysterious Press also has all or at least most of Charlotte Macleod’s books available for Kindle.
