MJ says
As has been the case with her last few books, Jeanne Dams newest book, ‘Day of Vengeance’, was released a month or so early. It is currently available.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
MJ, thank you for telling me. I don’t know why they keep doing this. What with all of the pseudonyms secrecy, now the publishers give different dates for the releases. Woe is me!
barb says
Thanks for all your research. I live in SATX as well but travel in my little RV so my kindle is a treasured pal….learning new series to try is so much fun!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Barb, I hadn’t thought about how neat a Kindle would be for an RV-er. You have your library wherever you go. I hope you are able to find lots and lots of new Cozy Mystery series to try.
Linda says
You’re showing the new Jeanne Dams mystery, Day of Vengeance, from the Dorothy Martin series, as due out in September. I picked my copy up at the library about 10 days ago and just started reading it this morning. It came out in about mid-July.
(Sorry, I posted this in the wrong spot, earlier.)
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Linda, thank you. This has been happening regularly with the Dorothy Martin mysteries. Early is a whole lot better than late!
Sheila says
Danna – Thanks for the September list. I have plenty to read and more to add to my TBR list.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Sheila, isn’t it great that we have so many Cozy Mystery authors out there writing so many good Cozies?!?
Ann says
I can’t believe we’re on the 25th Agatha Raisin book. What a lovely series this has been. Thanks for posting the list.
Ann
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Ann, it’s difficult to believe, isn’t it? And, that there are 30 Hamish Macbeths!
Stash Empress says
OMG — could my TBR list grow any LONGER???????????????????? Not only have authors I haven’t heard from in forever come out with new books — but now I’ve found a bunch of new-to-me series to catch up on!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Stash Empress, I love it when I add a new-to-me author to my favorite authors list >>> so I know I don’t have to wait for them to write another Cozy Mystery in their series.
Melissa @ My Recent Favorite books says
So many great new books coming out! =)
Thanks for such a great list!

Melissa, you’re welcome!
reginav says
Danna, I was so happy to read the upcoming books for September. I got sticker shock when I went to pre-order some of them for my new Nook tablet. Three or four of them are listed as being $24.95.That is a hefty jump in price. My limit for Nook books even new ones was $12–$14. Amazon is advertising them for about $10 less. What is the scoop ? regina
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Regina, I have no idea why the Nook books are selling for +/- $10 more than the Kindle mysteries. Here’s a guess, but it’s only a guess: Maybe now that Barnes and Noble is no longer selling Nook devices, they don’t see any reason to make the prices competitive. (I warned you, it’s just a guess on my part!)
Anne says
Thank you for all you do for us! I don’t make a new read move without checking in with your blog. I am very excited for the Wolfe Widow. What a great series! A cozy mystery series about rare books = jackpot!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Anne, I’m glad you are enjoying the Cozy Mystery site!
Joshua says
Very happy to see another Mrs Malory coming out; I had no idea. From something I’d read online I somehow got the idea in my head that Hazel Holt was retiring the series with last book. So glad to see that isn’t so!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Joshua, I’m happy to see that Hazel Holt’s Death is a Word will be published so soon. (I shared your feelings about her retirement…)
(It’s good to see you back!)
Joshua says
Thanks Danna! I always keep a sharp eye here even if not commenting. One of my favorite places on the web.
I was surprised to see this Mrs Mallory was coming out in hardcover first since I feel like most haven’t. And then I noticed that she’s with a new publisher, and an independent one at that. Hope this doesn’t mean her books will be harder to find. But so glad to see she is still publishing!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Joshua, oh, wow! Hazel Holt is with a new publisher? Hmmm… That would explain why I can’t find the cover of her new release. I’m guessing they’ll be just as easy to find, since Amazon is already listing this one.
Claudia says
First, thank you so much for this site and the list of upcoming cozies! So wonderful to have them all in one place.
Second, not complaining, just wondering– why Jan Karon? None of her books have been mysteries, and I’m pretty sure I’ve read them all.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Claudia, welcome to the Cozy Mystery site! Good question…
Why Jan Karon? Well, I know she doesn’t write mysteries, but I do consider her novels to be very, very Cozy. I have some authors on the site, like the wonderful non-mystery author – E.F. Benson – who happens to me a very favorite author of mine. I also have a few authors on the site who other Cozy Mystery readers have told me about, who don’t write mysteries but who are also very Cozy.
I guess the answer would be that I put these authors on the site hoping to let other people know about how good they are at their craft/art.
theanouna says
Hi,
Just read a wonderful cozy mystery called The Murder Pit by Jeff Shelby (AKA Jeffery Allen). There will be another book in the series coming out in the future. The book was a well written mystery and a surprising ending ( in my opinion, of course). I enjoy Jeffery Allen’s Deuce Winters character, and this new series by Jeff Shelby has similar humor and wonderful cast of characters as well.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Theanouna, thanks for letting us know that Jeff Shelby (aka Jeffery Allen of the Stay at Home Dad Mystery Series) is writing the new Moose River Mystery Series. I just added a page for Jeff Shelby on the Cozy Mystery site. Thank you!
Lisa says
I too, am now reading the Moose River Mystery Series! I really enjoyed the Money Pit and the Stay at Home Dad mystery series!

Hi, I’m been following this site for awhile now, and do order a lot of books. Recently, I found two cute mysteries based on the Hawaiian Islands. One is a series about a wedding planner by Joann Bassett and the other is the silly, fun, series called the Tiki Goddess mysteries by Jill Marie Landis. Have you read them? I think they might be a great addition to this site. Hawaiian cozies, go figure. 🙂
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Shira, thanks for the Hawaii Cozy Mystery suggestions. I have a page for Jill Marie Landis on the Cozy Mystery site, and I have JoAnn Bassett is the Free, Cheap, or On-Sale Kindle Mysteries AND Free, Cheap, or On-Sale Nook Mysteries – July 17, 2014.
