“… I’m looking for a book series (I don’t know how many are in the series) about a few (or several) senior women who think they’re too young to go to a retirement home, or they live in a retirement home and go on trips?????? I used to work at Barnes and Noble years ago and can’t remember if they are a mystery series or not.

I believe she is talking about Essie Cobb Senior Sleuth Mysteries by Patricia Rockwell. They live in a retirement home and go on field trips etc.
The first book is called Bingo’d.

Could she be thinking of the Corrine Holt Sawyer books. Some were set in the retirement home near San Diego but they went to another retirement home, a health spa and Mexico. The 2 sleuths were admiral widows. This is a favorite series of mine.

Could it be the Murder Is….series by Rita Lakin? The characters are senior citizens who live in a retirement community and solve murders.

Or maybe the Gladdy Gold series by Rita Lakin? They are in a condo complex in Florida.

Seems to me, if I remember right, the front cover of this book has a cruise ship with the ladies waving their hats as the ship leaves port
