Cozy Mystery (and Other Favorite) Books, Movies, and TV
Here is the list of new releases for October 19 to October 25!
Donna Andrews: The Gift of the Magpie (This will be the 28th in the Meg Langslow Mystery Series.)
Rebecca Tope: A Cotswold Christmas Mystery (This will be the 18th in the Cotswold Mystery Series.)
Wow, I’ve definitely got a lot of Cozy Mystery news to get through this month! I’ve got a lot to get through this month (10 pieces of news!) so I’m going to go through them a little faster than normal.
First up, Laurien Berenson will be adding a 27th entry to the Melanie Travis Mystery Series, an Easter-themed mystery titled Show Me the Bunny. There has been another entry in the series also confirmed, but no word yet on if there will be a holiday theme or what the title might be.
Next, Jeanne M. Dams will be starting a new series, the Oak Park Mystery Series, which will be set in the 1920s, in Oak Park, Illinois, where the sleuth is investigating crimes related to prohibition, including Al Capone’s gang.
Lindsey Davis will be adding two more books to the Flavia Albia Mystery Series, a period piece set in ancient Rome starring a private detective. This will bring the series to a total of nine books.
Eva Gates (aka Vicki Delany) will be putting out at least two more books in the Lighthouse Library Mystery Series, taking the series to a total of at least 9 entries.
Alyssa Maxwell has had a number of books confirmed – three more in the Gilded Newport Mystery Series, and three in the Lady and Lady’s Maid Mystery Series. This will bring both series to at least 9 books each!
Gigi Pandian will be starting a new series, the Secret Staircase Construction Mystery Seriew, with The Vanishing Act of Tempest Raj. This will be a locked room mystery, and stars a woman returning home to help out the family business.
Victoria Thompson will be putting out two more books in the Gaslight Mystery Series, taking the series to at least 25 entries.
Finally, Elaine Viets will be putting out books five and six in the Death Investigator Mystery Series, the 5th of which will be titled Death Grip.

Susan Bernhardt: Dress to Kill (This will be the 2nd in the Irina Curtius Mystery Series.)
Carolyn Haines: A Garland of Bones (This will be the 22nd in the Sarah Booth Delaney Mystery Series.)
David Rosenfelt: Silent Bite (This will be the 22nd in the Andy Carpenter Mystery Series.)
Unfortunately, November is going to be a bit light for Cozies… I only have one new holiday-themed Cozy on the schedule.
Anne Perry will be releasing Christmas Resolution, a spin-off novel from her William Monk Mystery Series. John Hooper, William Monk’s main assistant at the Thames River Police, is preparing for Christmas with his new wife, Celia, when the two learn that one of Celia’s close friends is about to get married as well. However, a series of threatening about the death of the would-be husband’s first wife leave a number of questions regarding his character – and the possibility that a murder has gone unsolved.
