Well, last month I tried running this type of post for the “current” month rather than a month early and asked people what their opinion was regarding when they wanted to see it. The results were close, but slightly veered toward seeing it a month in advance, so that’s what I’ll be doing going forward. After this post, we’ll still be a month “behind” at this point by that method, so we’ll be having another of these “upcoming new series and holiday Cozies” in the next few days for April’s releases.
That said, this is March’s releases!
Essie Lang will be releasing Trouble on the Books, the first in her new Castle Bookshop Mystery Series. Shelby Cox is returning to her hometown of Alexandria Bay in upstate New York to take her aunt’s bookstore’s second location on a nearby island, but as the town is preparing for tourist season, her own preparations will be cut short by the death of a local volunteer coordinator. Essie Lang might be a new name, but you may recognize her other pen names, Linda Wiken (under which she writes the Dinner Club Mystery Series) and Erika Chase (under which she writes the Ashton Corners Book Club Mystery Series).
Karen MacInerney will be putting out the fifth book in her Dewberry Farm Mystery Series, Dyeing Season, an Easter-themed Cozy. Lucy Resnick has a lot to prepare for this spring season, and a tornado swinging by her property doesn’t help things… nor does discovering the body of a neighbor’s home health aide when she’s about her property trying to round up her scattered livestock. And that won’t be the only body found this Easter season… Karen MacInerney writes multiple other series, including the Gray Whale Inn Mystery Series, the Margie Peterson Mystery Series, and the Beading Mystery Series.

It’s nice to see the new titles one month ahead. Gives me a chance to plan my To Be Read list, although it seems like I never have time to read as much as I would like!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Donna, that does seem to be the overall agreement! I’m going to try to catch up soon – though I just got enough material for a news post that I’ll probably put up first.
Patricia says
I will have to live to, at least, 100 and not add a single book to the pile to read all the books on my TBR list.
Susy S says
I’m not THAT bad, but If I don’t buy another book, and read an average of 20 books per month, I am still looking at over 5 years to catch up with my TBR books.
Susan says
Thanks so much. I rely on you to get my Texas mom get favorites

Susan, you’re welcome, and I’m glad to be able to help!
Kathleen Kendler says
Thanks for all you do.

Kathleen, you’re welcome, and thank you for the kind words!

I’m about half-way through “Trouble on the Books”, and so far it’s a promising start the new series. The Mystery Guild has it available already (the book clubs get some releases early), so that’s how I have it now.
I’m sure I’ll have more to add for the March book recommendations.
I was eager to start a new series, since I’ve been reading the latest releases of series that I’m already involved in since November. It’s nice getting involved in a new-to-me series for a change of pace.

Melanie, thanks for the recommendation! Please be sure to repost it in the March recommendations post, assuming you’re still enjoying it as much when you finish it.
