January will be a fairly good month for Cozy Mystery releases by established site authors, with one new series and two holiday-themed Cozies coming out!
First up, Linda Reilly will be putting out the first entry in her new Grilled Cheese Mystery Series, Up to No Gouda. Carla Hale is recovering from the death of her husband by pursuing her lifelong dream, opening a grilled cheese restaurant in her home town of Balsam Dell, Vermont. Business is doing well, proving popular with both vacationers and locals, but Carly’s former boyfriend Lyle Bagley has just bought the building holding her eatery and wants her out. When Lyle turns up dead behind the shop, this animosity makes Carly and her employees the most likely suspects for the deed. Reilly is also the author of the Cat Lady Mystery Series and the Deep Fried Mystery Series.
Next up, Laurien Berenson will be continuing her long-running Melanie Travis Mystery Series, with the 28th entry being an Easter entry entitled Show Me the Bunny. Melanie agrees to help out her Aunt Rose by organizing the festivities at Gallagher House, a women’s shelter recently opened in town. Unfortunately, upon arrival, she’s faced with unhappy news – the benefactor of the shelter has fallen to her death, and it seems like she was almost certainly pushed!
Finally, Amanda Flower (aka Isabella Alan) will be putting out the fifth entry in her Magical Bookshop Mystery Series, a Christmas entry titled Crimes and Covers. Violet Waverly and her Grandma Daisy are looking forward to the Christmas season in the Western New York village of Cascade Springs, as well as preparing for Violet’s marriage. Unfortunately, the reception is destined to failure, when a dead body floats in on the river. Flower is the author of multiple other mystery series, including the Amish Candy Shop Mystery Series and the Magical Bookshop Mystery Series.

Jo, I get most of my books from Amazon these days, but most book stores should have these books when they have come out.

I have “Crimes and Covers” on my to-buy list. I have the other books in the series, and I’ve read the first two…I really liked them!
The new Grilled Cheese series sounds like it could be interesting…I’ll keep that one on my radar.
