Danna - cozy mystery list says
You’re welcome, you’re welcome, you’re welcome, Denise!
(I love it when the Christmas mysteries start coming out!)
Brent says
You forgot an important one!
WHO DO, VOODOO? by Rochelle Staab looks absolutely thrilling, and releases this November.
Ricky says
Boy I wish I bought or could buy new books since these sound wonderful. However, I read a book a day (at least) and that would not be economically practical. I give so many bags of books away it would be nice to get some that way myself.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Wow, Ricky! At least one book a day would be a record for me! Get thee to a library!!!
Maria (BearMountainBooks) says
Or get a kindle and start reading classics and freebies. Books on the Knob and DailyCheapReads are both good places to find bargains for e-readers.
As for print books…yup, better get to the library!!! When you finish there, maybe you can get more via interlibrary loan!
linda says
I donate my “read” books, Ricky, to the local librairies. This helps the libraries, plus makes me feel good that I am doing something to help others! With the libraries getting so many funding cuts, these places need all the help they can get.
(Note, I am not a librarian, just an avid reader who can’t afford to buy many books anymore either)
Judy says
Yes, I agree. Thank you for this blog and great information.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
You’re welcome, Judy! And, thank you for the kind words about the site.
Andie says
Thanks for the list of upcoming releases. I’ve already pre-ordered the Margaret Maron for my Kindle.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Andie, I didn’t know you could pre-order books for a Kindle.
Maria (BearMountainBooks) says
Yes! Sometimes you can pre-order and sometimes they’re on sale for pre-order only (in my experience the price goes to full price the day of release. So if you see a sale, grab it. The one time I didn’t–it went from 8 dollar to 15! Grrr.)
David Anderson says
Thank you for all these great listings!
Edie Dykeman says
So many new-to-me series and several “old” favorites. Glad to see Sue Grafton on the list – definitely will have to pick that one up. Also, haven’t read Mrs. Jeffries lately, but enjoyed earlier books.
Appreciate your monthly gathering of new titles!
Ann says
Thanks for listing these.
Ann
Danna - cozy mystery list says
David and Ann, you’re quite welcome.
Edie, I was surprised to see that Sue Grafton (finally) got her new mystery out. I know a lot of us are happy about this!
linda says
Just started to reread Sue Grafton’s Alphabet series this morning.I read a lot of these type books before I retired so, I think I did read these too fast. I have plenty of time now to take my time rereading these!
Vickie B says
Oh boy, plenty to add to the Wanton Wantin’ Book List. I love so many of the listed series.
Annette says
Yeah what great books cannot wait to get them.
Regina says
I read the book list for November and positively drooled. Wrote down my favorites and headed to my libraries’ web sites. I placed reservations on them, so I will sit and wait. By the way I sometimes give some of my books to our high school library as they welcome some good stories. Regina
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Regina, I’m glad the list has helped you with your libraries’ websites! There are quite a few mysteries on November’s New Releases list that look very good to me, also.
regina s. says
ok, i couldve sworn i wrote something yesterday. 🙁 well anyway, if you are interested i know the titles and dates for Jessica Beck’s next two novels in the Donut Shop Mystery Series if you are interested.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Thanks, Regina! I’m sorry that your post didn’t get posted yesterday. Every once in a while, I put a comment into the “needs a response” box. (I do this very rarely.)I try to get right back to these comments in my “needs a response” box, but sometimes time just slips away!
Regarding your Jessica Beck Donut Shop Mystery Series dates:
I usually don’t put the new Cozy Mystery releases on the authors’ pages until the publication dates get a little closer. I keep a list (on my computer’s desk top) with all of the “New Mystery Book Releases” information that I can gather together, which is separated into months and years.
I have Killer Crullers as publishing on January of 2012 and Drop Dead Chocolate publishing in April of 2012.
Thanks, again… and I’m sorry I didn’t get back to you earlier.
regina s. says
sweet! no problem…can’t wait to get those books!
Andie says
I read Alan Bradley’s newest Flavia de Luce mystery, “I Am Half-Sick of Shadows,” yesterday.
For me it was one of those “can’t put it down” mysteries as it seemed something was happening on almost every page.
It is a quirky mystery with some odd characters and enough viable suspects to keep one guessing until the ultimate denouement. Most of the adults tolerate Flavia’s peculiar ideas and some are bemused by her. Many more are horrified at the dangerous situations in which she puts herself.
I hope this series continues because I am sure that before she is much older Flavia is going to be even more extraordinary.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Thank you, Andie, for that great endorsement of Alan Bradley’s Flavia de Luce mystery.
Norma Huss says
May I add mine? Death of a Hot Chick, first in the Cyd Denlinger series based on Chesapeake Bay in a fishing village with boats, close-knit family and friends, and murder.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Thank you, Norma Huss, for telling us about Death of a Hot Chick, the first of your Cyd Denlinger Mystery Series!
