I look forward to the list of books coming out. I have the ladies at the library going nuts trying to figure how I know about the books and release dates before them. Ha Ha
Katie says
Are the Pennyfoot Hotel Mysteries by Kate Kingsbury any good? I’m thinking about starting that series.
Alfred says
Danna on Jeanne Glidewell you left out the number ok.
Denise says
As a lady at the library, I’m grateful for these lists 🙂 Many of these books aren’t reviewed in the journals we use so I might not know about them otherwise. This blog has been a great resource for me since I started ordering mysteries almost a year ago. The books I’ve found here have been checked out often. Thank you so much–from me and our patrons!

Rebecca, I’m glad you are enjoying the Mystery Book New Releases.
Thank you, Alfred, for letting me know I was missing that information on the list.
I know that Kate Kingsbury is a very popular Cozy Mystery author, Katie. I read her Christmas/seasonal “Special Pennyfoot Hotel” mystery books, and enjoy them quite a bit.
Denise, good to know that you enjoy the list. I think it’s great when libraries try to keep books in stock that the library patrons want to read. I am sure your patrons appreciate it!
Dru says
Thanks for keeping us updated with new releases.

Awesome list of books! Adding to the WWBL and will update my shopping list for November to Cynthia at High Crimes.

Does anyone know what happened to author Sharon Kahn? She was writing a delightful series, started with Fax Me A Bagel, about Ruby, the Rabbi’s wife. Haven’t heard about anything from her in ages. Love this website! Keep up the great work.
Beth says
I’ve wondered about her also. Her last book was “Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Choir” which was published 2006.
In May 2010, her 2nd to last book, “Which Big Giver Stole the Chopped Liver” was published as an e-book and is available at Amazon. Unfortunately, her website, http://www.sharonkahn.com doesn’t give any information about new books.

Thanks for the list. I have been looking forward to several of the releases – David Baldacci, Karen NcInerney, and Livia Washburn to name just a few.

Could you give some recommendations for those who love the Charlaine Harris mysteries? I loved the Lily Bard, Harper Connelly, Aurora Teagarden, and Sookie Stackhouse series immensely and don’t know what to do read next now that I’ve finished them all.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Stephanie, I am posting an entry today asking for help on finding authors similar to Charlaine Harris.
Pat says
Try Chintz and China series by Yasmin Galenorm and the Delilah Street series by Carol Nelson Douglas. If I only had not read them all. Sighh
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Pat, thanks for the suggestions. I’m going to go add both Yasmin Galenorn and Carol Nelson Douglas to the list of authors who are similar to Charlaine Harris.
Thanks, again!
Chris says
To Stephanie, you might try Victoria Laurie for some paranormal stuff. She has two series, one about a psychic and one about a ghost “buster”. Danna has both series listed. You might also try Carolyn Hart’s A Death on Demand series for something similar to the Aurora Teagarden series, also listed by Danna.
To Pat… I always hate it when I get to the end of the series… sigh. LOL
And Danna, yes, keep up the good work, I found you and then lost you and then found you again and then put you in my favorites on all my computers and on my phone! You are as handy as an app on the phone! 🙂
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Welcome back to the site, Chris!

Thanks, guys! I have already bought the Victoria Laurie psychic series and I will definitely check out the others recommended as well!
