Cozy Mysteries are my favorite genre of books by far. My favorite author is Anne Perry with her characters Thomas and Charlotte Pitt, and William Monk. I haven’t started the Daniel Pitt series yet, but I’m sure they will be just as good as the other two.
I am retired, and COVID has forced me to stay at home for the most part. I started reading other Cozy authors outside of my usual “pool” for more variety. It was a great decision, and now I make it a point to read at least two or three new to me authors every week. The lockdown has also helped me to broaden my selection of books to non-fiction history. It’s not Cozies, but as a person who loves to learn more about the many parts of History, it is giving me a better understanding of how civilization has progressed over thousands of years.

Deb, I certainly understand wanting to “branch out” a bit on reading material, though I usually go with true crime for my personal non-fiction reading… well, I guess that’s still a lot closer to mysteries, though there’s much less mystery on “who-done-it”. That said, I do love learning about history – though I do tend more toward history documentaries than books.

I’m hoping you or another fellow reader can help me find a series of books I started reading several years ago. I have so little info to offer though, so there lies the problem. I remember it was a cozy series, it was about a female realtor living & working in Florida (???). I seem to remember she was in her 40s, & she was unhappy. Out of the blue she inherited a home on a coast or island from a relative she didn’t know at all or very little. She quit her job & started driving. When she arrived at her destination a dead body was found on the property, I believe, in or near a shed in the back yard. The paranormal aspect of the story begins to show up along with a strange supernatural “animal” I can’t remember the name of. Well, if anyone likes a mystery this is a mystery I have not been able to solve. Please help me! I would like to read more of this authors books!

Dcarnall, I’m sorry about the lateness of this reply – I couldn’t come up with an answer to your question, but I have posed it as part of a front-of-blog post to try to see if someone else might have a solution.
