Why does this not surprise me, Susy S? If there were a bookstore near me, I’d be there, too! That’s an 18 mile trip by bus for me to shop at an actual bookstore. AH, the joys of small-town living!

Bek, since I retired, it is now about 30 to 40 miles, but I still drive, and it is an excuse to go into town occasionally and window shop at the mall. As it turns out, I have a couple of appointments in town on Friday, so I will have a really good excuse to go.
I have been ordering more and more books on-line since my retirement.

Oh, if I drove, I’d be happy to do 30-40 miles! However, I would have to bus, leave my house at 7:30AM and not be picked up again until 3PM. Joys of small town living.

I am sure that would be too much of a trip for most people.
It is fortunate that we live in a time when most anything is available for delivery.

It really is. That said, if the budget would allow me to ride over, shop for books, have a nice lunch, and then shop at one of the other nearby stores, I might consider doing it anyway, just for the outing!
As it is, I have a good source of used books at very decent prices, and they come right to my door!

Bek, It was on my new release wish-list, but I have been busy enough that I had not checked it lately so it was a surprise. I ordered it yesterday, so hopefully it will arrive tomorrow.
