I must say, although my preference for Cozy Mysteries is of the Witchy/Psychic/Magickal type, between my life partner turning me on to both Cozy Mysteries and a reality TV show called “Worst Cooks in America,” I have come to appreciate food-and-beverage-themed Cozy Mysteries.
Oh, and both he and I would happily choose “pies before guys!” HA!!
Right now, the only Cozy Mysteries series I AM reading with a food and/or beverage theme is “Death by Tea,” by Mr. Alex Erickson, the second in the “Bookstore Cafe Mysteries.”
Also, “Charms and Chocolate Chips,” the third in the “Magical Bakery Mysteries,” by Bailey Cates.
As always, Danna, thank you for all you do.

Tarot Man, getting into food themed Cozies definitely seems like a good idea – there are certainly a lot of them! And I doubt that will ever slow down. And you’re welcome, as always!

Just picked up a Julia Buckley, a Vivien Chien and a J.C Eaton. I have not read the Chien yet, but I read the Buckley and already bought another and I am on my second Eaton, so I guess I better read the Chein next.
A couple of the others are on my buy list, but not the one that says buy the day they come out.
I love this website. If it was not for you, Danna, I would not know who to check out and who to pass up. Thank you.

Susy, you’re very welcome! I hope you enjoy the new releases – quite a good week!
Bek says
SUSY S!!! HI HI HI! Man, I’ve missed everyone, but especially you! I couldn’t get my “follow posts” to confirm for the longest, but FINALLY got it fixed!
The Chien is on my list, too, as well as the Kashian. AND I have a bit extra in the budget this month, so I’ll be ordering both of them!
Susy S says
I picked up my first Kashian at the book sale, so I suspect that she will go on my buy, buy list. I am reading my first Chien now and she WILL be on my list.
The down side to the big book sale is that I always pick-up new authors to add to my buy list. To make it even crazier, I volunteer with the group that has the sale and this year I will be responsible for cozies. I will only have hardbacks and trade paperbacks, but that should be plenty.
Bek says
“Big book sale?” You’re speaking my language there!
~drools lightly on keyboard~
Susy S says
There were between 500,000 and 700,000 books, magazines and audio items for sale. Was a crazy weekend, and we are already starting to work on the sale next February. All the money in excess of actual expenses goes to various charities, including Literacy Volunteers.
IT is definitely a win-win-win!
Bek says
It sounds WONDERFUL! Glad you did so well. Did you come home with more books than you took? That would be my problem.
Pamela says
I really enjoy your blog.
Thanks for keeping up with all this.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Pamela, you’re welcome! I’m glad the blog is useful.
Kimberley says
Staying Alive by Julie Mulhern is also releasing this week! Love the her Country Club murders series.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Kimberley, thanks for the recommendation! I’ll have to check her out some time, though it might take quite a while.
Ellen Byron says
Ellen Byron/Maria DiRico here. Thanks so much! I’m excited! Many aspects of the series are inspired by my real life, so the series is very special to me.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Ellen, you’re very welcome! I for one have been looking forward to the new series, and even more excited when hearing that it will be a bit of a window into your life – though hopefully you’ve had to solve fewer murders.
Barb K says
I love this site. It keeps me updated on new reads.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Barb, I’m glad to hear that the site is useful!
RL says
I keep seeing articles about cozy mysteries, are they books, shory stories, movies or tv shows? They all look so interesting.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
RL, there are some Cozies in all of those categories! That said, I mostly write about books.
Bek says
OOOOH! New to cozies! You really must click on the “Cozies by Themes” button. You can find a good cozy mystery book about almost any special interest you might have! I’m SO addicted to them…in all forms, but especially books. And Danna does a wonderful job of keeping us all informed on new books, new authors, and new special interests. My book collection, since joining here, has grown from about 600 to nearly 1000!
Bek says
Pardon me while I jack my jaw back up into position! Yep, I think you found them! There are several that I’ve been waiting for!
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Bek, it’s definitely a good week, especially compared to the rest of the month!
Ellen Fujawa says
I love your blog. It has opened up a world of additional cozy mysteries for me to read. And, when it’s time for holiday gift requests like birthday and Christmas, I print out your lists and give them to my daughter.

Ellen, I’m glad that you’ve been enjoying the site and that the lists have been so useful for your holiday gift requests!
