I just finished Antiques Ravin. It is terrific bit one of the funniest things I read is Sheriff Vivian’s letter to the Coke executives about one of their products. I love the writing by this pair.

Paula, thanks for the recommendation! I guess there’s an upside to posting these a little late.

LOL, I don’t know whether to be disappointed or relieved that none of “my” books are on this list! I have three entire series of books sitting here on my “to read” desk…The WHOLE Lilian Jackson Braun “The Cat Who” series, all but the newest of the “Mrs. Murphy series by Rita Mae Brown, and all but the last two of “The Tea Shop Mystery” series by Laura Childs. I had read one or two of each, out of order, but I’m going to read all three, start to finish, back to back! That should keep me busy, off the streets and out of trouble for a day or two, at any rate!

Bek, considering how long this list is, I’m surprised you don’t have a pick or two on it – but still sounds like you’ve got enough to keep you busy for a while!
Susy S says
Welcome back Bek! Haven’t seen you on the board for a while.

Welcome back Bek from me also! Your comments always make me smile.

Thanks! I’ve missed being here. For some reason, we couldn’t get my notifications to come to my main email address anymore. My guess is that I did something bizarre on WordPress, so FINALLY I switched to a secondary address, which is working just fine! I really missed all of you, and the discussions here!

I finished “The Diva Sweetens the Pie this week”. As usual, it was fun and the usual characters were in fine form.
I have seven more books on the list that I want. I am not allowing myself to buy most of them until I read down the TBR list by at least 50 books. Since I am now retired, and we have settled into our new home, that should only take two or three months.
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Susy, that’s quite a reading rate! Lately I feel like I spend too much time working on the site and not enough reading – I’m lucky when I can finish a handful of books in a month! Sometimes I only get around to finishing the one that I end up writing about.
Susy S says
Danna – That has to be disappointing! I was only managing 5 or 6 while we were moving and getting settled, but I am up to one every other day and some days I read one per day. It all depends on what else I have going on. This is the best part of being retired (other than not having to go to work).

Susy, I’ve found that the biggest problem for me reading Cozies has definitely been me writing blogs about Cozies! The site takes up a surprising amount of time, especially keeping up with the lists.
Susy S says
That is why we appreciate what you do so much!
I had a challenge with my sister to write reviews of every book we read – neither of us lasted more than a week or so before we just wanted to read and not bother with reviews. Maybe I can do better now that I have lots of time to read.

I just finished Ellery Adams Murder in the reading room. It seems like it might be the final book in the series. Does anyone have any info about that?
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Susy, I haven’t heard anything about this series one way or another yet, but with the most recent book being so new, that isn’t necessarily any sort of indicator yet.
Susy S says
Thanks! I guess I will just have to keep my eyes and ears open for any news.
Marianne says
I have enjoyed Rebecca Adler’s Taste of Texas series. Do you know if a fourth book is coming anytime soon?
Danna - cozy mystery list says
Marianne, I’m afraid I haven’t heard of any upcoming entries in this series, yet.
